He raises his eyes to look at us. “And the kind I should have given you.”
“I felt a lot like you did; I’m not innocent in this either. I think most of all, we both should be apologizing to Nolan.” Nolan shifts in his seat, looking down at his hands. “He’s the one who has been nothing but amazing, doing everything he could to keep this pack together.”
“Of course I did,” he says softly, lifting his eyes to meet ours. “I love you both. You’re not just my pack, but you’re family. My lovers. I would never go down without a fight, and even then, I’d keep going.”
We all just share a moment, the realness of everything hanging heavy in the air.
“We can’t focus on the past. The guilt is only going to eat at us and prevent us from healing and moving on,” Nolan says.
“I’m going to make it up to you—to both of you,” Aiden promises, his eyes flicking between us.
Another moment passes between us before Nolan speaks again. “What we need to do is work on being a family again. We have an Omega to worry about, to take care of and pamper. Not only an Omega, but a baby,” Nolan laughs happily, a smile spreading across his face, and my heart feels like it’s going to burst.
“Fucking hell,” Aiden chuckles, pushing off the table to stand up straight. “We’re going to be dads.”
“Fuck yeah, we are.” A grin of my own takes over my face.
Aiden’s face falls slightly. “Is anyone else afraid this is too good to be true?”
“Terrified.” I nod.
“But thrilled,” Nolan adds. “This is everything we’ve ever wanted. An Omega, a baby, a pack, and a family.”
“The perfect Omega,” I murmur, looking over my shoulder in the direction of the bedroom.
“She is perfect, isn’t she?” Aiden asks.
“Guys. We just got her back. Please do not scare her away or overwhelm her. This is all new to her. We take things slow, get to know her, court her,” Nolan chastises in warning.
Our eyes snap over to his. “Slow?” Aiden scoffs. “No, babe. Nothing slow will be happening here. I’m going to be glued to that girl's side.”
“Same.” I nod in agreement.
Nolan sighs, closing his eyes. “You two are going to be the death of me,” he says before opening his eyes. “At least she will have me to help keep her sane.”
“Okay, she’s slept enough. I need to see her,” Aiden says, starting around the table.
“Same.” I jump up to join him but pause when we see Violet standing in the kitchen entrance.
She's fucking stunning, her blonde hair piled on top of her head in a messy bun, and she’s wearing...is that my hoodie?
Holy shit, she stole my hoodie. Fucking hell yeah!
“Morning.” She smiles shyly.
She really is here. Where she belongs. And now we get to have a do-over for how the morning after her heat should have gone.
Our lives are about to change in some very drastic ways, but holy hell, was I ever excited for every single one of them.
Chapter 14
Violet
The sound of voices wakes me up. Blinking my eyes open, I stare up at the ceiling, frowning.
I might not be able to make out what’s being said, but I know for a fact it’s not my friends out there talking. These voices are masculine.
Sitting up, I rub the sleep from my eyes before looking around the room.Yup, this is not my cabin.
