But they ignore her, shoving her against the car as they place her in cuffs.
Pulling Hazel out of the car, I stand there and watch as they put Sylvia into the back of a cop car.
It’s not until they pull away that I close my eyes and breathe. It’s over. After everything she put my men through—put me through—there's no way she’s going to be able to weasel her way out of this one.
The sound of my name being shouted has me cracking.
Aiden, Thomas, and Nolan get out of one of the cop cars and run over to me.
The moment I’m in their arms and safe, I break. I know they will help put me back together.
Because that's what family does. That's what packs do.
Epilogue
FOUR MONTHS LATER
Thomas
Hazel’s sweet little cooing sounds as she looks up at me with her big, bright eyes has my heart melting.
This little girl has all of us wrapped around her little finger.
It’s been four months since our sweet baby girl chose to make her dramatic entrance into this world, and every day has been just as thrilling and amazing as the last.
The sleepless nights and fussy cries are worth it. We work as a team, as a pack. Because of that, no one goes tired or restless. We take turns to make sure we’re all in a good mind space.
Most of all Violet.
After everything that horrid bitch put her through, she started seeing her therapist again. Any time she’s feeling overwhelmed and needs someone to talk to, she calls her up.
We felt helpless for the first few months, our hearts breaking when she woke up crying or having nightmares about what Sylvia put her through.
And every time, we’d remind her that she’s safe, loved, and no one will ever hurt her again.
There’s been more than one occasion where we’ve talked about how we are coping and dealing with the aftermath as well, when Violet was sleeping, of course. We didn’t want to keep it bottled up, but we also didn’t want to worry our Omega, so we leaned on each other.
Sylvia was arrested that day and was charged with a number of criminal offenses. Her sentencing was a few weeks ago and now everything is finalized.
She’s behind bars for fifteen years, with a chance at parole in seven if she’s mentally cleared.
There’s a lifetime ban on her ever coming back to Snow Valley as long as we reside here and we have no plans of moving.
Knowing she’s locked up and unable to hurt my Omega or my daughter has taken a big weight off all of our shoulders.
After Violet got the news, she started sleeping better.
Violet, being the kind and loving person she is, felt bad for Sylvia’s son. She had us look into who was taking care of him and found out that his rightful father has been caring for him for months.
Turns out Sylvia pretty much handed her son over to him the moment he was born. She couldn’t even be bothered with him.
That little boy deserves so much better than her, and I hope his father is able to give him the life he deserves.
Of course, our Omega has been doing what she can and sending care packages to him, making sure he has everything he needs to raise a baby on his own.
This woman is so damn amazing, and we are fucking lucky to call her ours.
As for other aspects in our lives, Violet is over the moon that all three of her best friends have moved into her cabin.
