How did yesterday start like it always does, in the arms of my mates, and end with the Omega we’ve been dreaming of for years in the room down the hall?
Violet. My sweet, little Omega.
I don’t care that I know nothing about this woman. All I need to know is that I’m ready to offer her just about anything to make her stay and be ours.
She’s going to stay, how could she not? We’re her scent match. We’re meant to be.
We didn’t get to talk much before she fell fast asleep in Aiden’s arms last night, and none of us wanted to risk waking her up, so he carried her to the guest room.
Aiden and I wanted to put her in our bed, but Nolan thought it might be too much for her to wake up in a bed full of strangers.
I love my Beta so damn much, but he doesn’t understand the feeling inside of me. The soul-consuming feeling Alphas get when they meet their scent match. Hell, I didn’t until I laid eyes on her golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes. And her perfume, fuck, just thinking about it, has my cock rock hard, not that it’s really gone down knowing that my Omega,my fucking Omega, is just across the hall.
Nolan also had to drag us out by our ears after he found us watching her sleeping. He calls it creepy, I call it admiring.
He’s not fooling anyone, though. I see how smitten he is over the Omega, too. He wants her just as bad as we do.
We’re not getting any younger, and we’ve been wanting this for so long that I don’t think I’m capable of taking things slow. Slowly went out the window when I was twenty-one.
I need her now. The urge to bite her, fuck her, and make her mine is like a layer of electricity buzzing over my skin. And I don’t even know what her last name is.
She could be a serial killer, for all we know. Not that I care. If the victims were bad enough people, I’d even help her hide the bodies, no questions asked.
Today is a new day, and I’ve been up for an hour now. Not that I got much sleep last night with the knowledge that she’s across the hall.
I’m not liking this no-touching thing. It’s not right.
That’s why I got out of bed, showered, and brushed my teeth while Nolan and Aiden were still sleeping. I want to spoil Violet with a big spread of food. What kind of Alpha would I be if I didn’t make sure my Omega was taken care of?
We try with Nolan, but he says we hover too much. And the man is a picky eater, which makes it hard.
When I step out into the hall, the smile that was just on my face falls, and my brows furrow as I hear a frustrated whine coming from the room Violet is staying in.
“No. No,” she whines again. “This isn’t right. Why isn’t it right?”
After hearing a few crashing sounds, I don’t bother knocking and just open the door. She’s standing by the bed, her hair a mess, as well as the room with pillows and blankets everywhere.
She looks over at me, eyes wild. Mine widen in surprise. Maybe sheisa serial killer... or crazy?
And then it hits me: a strong wave of her perfume fills the air—freshly baked apple pie. I groan as my cock throbs in my sleep pants, knot aching at the smell of her.
My Alpha instincts kick in. She’s in heat, or at least in the beginning stages of it.
“You!” she points at me, wagging her finger in my direction as she crosses the room. She scoops up everything off the dresser and brings it over to me. “Get rid of this. I don’t like it.”
I let out a grunt as she shoves the lamp, a photo frame, and some heavy crystal ornament my mother gave me in my arms. “Violet, are you okay?”
“Okay?” She raises her brows. “How can I be okay? None of this is right!”
She looks like she’s about to cry, and my heart breaks. “It’s okay, baby. What do you need?”
I toss everything out the door, sending it all crashing to the floor, not giving a shit if any of it breaks. If my baby doesn’t like it, then it’s gone.
“I don’t know,” she whimpers. “I’m hot. Is it hot in here?” She doesn’t wait for me to answer before pulling off her shirt.
My eyes fall on her lace bra. Her breasts are full, and her nipples are tight. A thin layer of sweat covers her skin.
“Get rid of it all. Now,” she pleads, pushing past me and out into the hall.
