“Why the hell not? I could go for a swim since it’s getting quite steamy out here today.”
“Beauty, that has nothing to do with the weather, and everything to do with me.” A fire ignites in her eyes and I’ve no doubt I could take her here and now. This woman is the epitome of sensuality. I’m so glad she’s all mine.
“Swimming first, and then you can fuck me until the sunrise.” See. This right here is what I’m talking about.
“It would be my pleasure.” No truer statement has ever left these lips.
We spend the next few hours swimming and soaking up the sun. My willpower was surely put to the test because she looked fucking hot in her skimpy underwear. Although I must admit, I slid her panties to the side and finger-fucked her with her legs wrapped around me. I could touch the ground, she could not. Now I’m making lunch and then we’re going sailing just like I promised.
“Thanks for convincing me to go sailing with you. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this relaxed.” I’m mesmerized as I watch her take a bite of her sandwich. Nothing fancy, just turkey, cheese, mayo, and a tomato slice on a ciabatta roll. With a side of chips and pickles. I know, just call me Chef Micah.
“Me too, Beauty. I know the next few weeks are going to be hectic, so I wanted to spend as much time with you as possible. Thanks for coming.” Which she will be doing again very soon.
“I’m looking forward to the festival, but I’ll miss you next week while you’re practicing.” It’s funny how she pouts as she pops a chip in her mouth. Bet she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it.
“With any luck, I’ll be able to stop by after practice a few times next week. Knowing Zander, I doubt he’ll leave Melody alone for too long. Being that her due date is soon approaching. He’s been a nervous wreck trying to figure out how all of this is going to play out.”
“I’d really like that. Hey, if you give me a heads up, I can make dinner for the two of us.” I remember her telling me she hated eating alone.
“For a free meal and you for dessert, you might be able to convince me.” Oh, how I wish I was that damn pickle she just slid between her lips. My dick agrees.
“Just let me know what you like to eat.” Pussy, but I certainly could eat that for a main course as well. “Stop, Micah Monroe. I know you well enough to know that your dirty mind went there.”
I feign innocence but we both know she’s one hundred percent correct. I’m addicted to Lyric and her pussy. Right now, I plead the fifth.
As soon as we finish eating, I grab the plates and set them in the sink. I plan on doing all of the dishes at once to save on water.
“Let’s go sailing, Beauty. Then, after dinner, I’m going to fuck you so hard that you won’t feel the rocking of the boat.” Only me.
With Lyric in front of me, we sail up the coastline. I point out a few landmarks and enjoy the beautiful scenery as it rushes by. Other boaters give us a wave as they pass. A tradition that’s been passed down for generations. My parents told us a long time ago that it’s out of mutual respect and also a sign of camaraderie. We all have each other’s backs and if someone needs help, you can bet a ton would show up before the Coast Guard.
The weather’s perfection and so is the woman in front of me. Despite all the obstacles standing in our way, there’s no doubt in my mind that we can make our relationship work. My only fear is that once she knows I already told my mom, she’ll be upset I didn’t speak up sooner. Hopefully she’ll understand I didn’t because I didn’t want to make things awkward between them. Believe me, I know my mom was furious with me. Not Lyric. Maybe she’ll find some solace in that fact.
Time flies by and before we know it, we’re heading back to our little island in heaven. I’m blissfully happy, and one step closer to our talk. As much as I’d like to postpone it until tomorrow, it’s been eating away at me that I haven’t told her sooner. Best to rip off the Band-Aid and clear the air. Otherwise, she might not trust me moving forward and that’s the last thing I want.
After lowering the sails, I set anchor. Before she has a chance to rush downstairs, I grab her hand. Her smile slips when she turns around and notices my somber look. “I’ve had something on my mind and now that we’re both relaxed, I’d like to get it all out in the open.”
“It must be serious if you didn’t start off with a joke. Should I be worried?” Pulling her in, I leave a gentle kiss on her lips. She tastes like the sea and smells like sunshine. I’m a total dick for waiting this long and spoiling our amazing weekend.
“Not at all, Beauty. If you need a bathroom break or something to drink, go right ahead. I’ll meet you back up here when you’re ready.”
She’s hesitant to leave, but her need to go downstairs outweighs her concern. I watch her disappear and then let out a pent-up breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. Maybe this will be rougher than I thought.
I pace back and forth until I see the top of her head, and then I face the sea and hang on to the railing. If she listened closely, she’d here the pounding of my heart. Until now, I was confident in our relationship. Now I’m not so sure.

LYRIC
While I was downstairs,I wracked my brain trying to figure out what he could possibly need to talk to me about, and I came up empty. There’s something definitely on his mind, and his seriousness is setting off all kinds of alarm bells.
After climbing the stairs, I’m hesitant to approach him. His posture is rigid and he’s staring off into the distance. Is he having second thoughts? Or is he just afraid to make eye contact with me? I guess I won’t know the answers to my questions if I just stand here like an idiot.
I pick up my pace and when I’m standing behind him, I snake my arms around his waist. Pressing my lips to the center of his spine. He spins around in my arms, holding me in a tight embrace. I can feel the trepidation in his touch, and if his erratic heartbeat is any indication, he’s nervous about what’s to come.
“Whatever we need to talk about isn’t going to change how I feel about you, Micah. Just spit it out so we can get on with our weekend.”
With a big sigh, he frames my face with his strong hands. “I knew the second that our eyes locked in the mirror that night, you’d be mine. I had no idea at the time if it would be days, months, or years later, but I just knew we were going to be together. Hours later, you were sitting in my childhood home. If that’s not divine timing, then I don’t know what the hell is.”
