MICAH
Change of plans.Since this is the last weekend before Labor Day, all of us agreed to practice throughout the whole week so we could spend time doing whatever the hell we please. Care to guess what my plans consist of? Yep, you got it. I’m kidnapping Lyric after work today and she’s coming sailing with me all weekend long. I’ve already warned the whole family thatSerendipityis off limits. They can do whatever the hell they want after that until she’s stored away for the winter.
I’ve gone home a few times to visit since I spilled my guts about Lyric and me being a couple. Mom avoids the subject like the plague, and I decided that’s her way of dealing with it. Dad assures me that she’ll come around in time. The whole family is on board and it baffles me why Mom is the odd one out. Luckily Lyric and Mom haven’t had a face-to-face yet, which is why I decided to grovel at Lyric’s feet and confess all of my sins this weekend. Wish me luck.
Now I’m just sitting around waiting until five o’clock or thereabouts. Lyric thinks we’re just going out to a casual dinner, but we all know better. As soon as I get to her house, I’ll fill her in and she can pack an overnight bag. Beauty is all mine this weekend and I can’t wait to wake up to her beautiful face. She’s an addiction that I just can’t break.
Feeling restless, I decide to leave now. Since she’s expecting me, she won’t be surprised when she gets home, and I’m parked in her driveway. Then I can also avoid all the rush hour traffic.
After throwing my bag and cooler in the trunk of my car, I head out. Anticipation of the weekend ahead is getting the best of me. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, waiting to unwrap all of the presents under the tree. That’s the euphoric feeling I always get when I know I’m going to see Lyric. They’ve been far and few between but I’m hoping that changes after next weekend.
I’m pulling into her drive at approximately five o’clock. Normally she’s home no later than five thirty. I timed that rather perfectly if I do say so myself. I pass the time by sending a message in the group chat with my siblings.
Me:What’s everyone doing this weekend?
Asher:I just pulledSerendipityout of her slip.
What the fuck!
Me:If you don’t want to die this weekend, you better be joking right now.
Of course, Maya, Lanie, and Julie reply with laughy faces. Yet Asher doesn’t answer.
Me:I’m serious, Asher. Where the fuck are you?
Asher:Duh, at the marina. Where else would I be?
If he wants to give me a heart attack he’s doing a great job.
Me:A.S.H.E.R…
Now he’s sending me a laughing face with a… Is he giving me the finger? No, it can’t be. That’s not an emoji on our phone. Is it? I’m too pissed to look. Before I can send another message I notice he’s replying.
Asher:Stop yelling at me, brother. I’m busting your balls. I’m at Lanie’s watching the kiddos while she’s painting the town with the hubby.
Thank fuck because he was a dead man walking.
When I see Lyric pull up beside me, I send them all a quick text.
Me:Gotta run. Beauty’s home.
I don’t wait for their reply. I sprint out of my car and open her door. As soon as she slides out, I grab her ass and pull her close. Getting reacquainted with those sexy-as-fuck lips. This woman has me hard in two-point-two seconds flat. Every damn time.
“Micah, the neighbors.” She gives me a little push and then pulls me right back in. Fuck yeah. She’s as desperate for me as I am for her. And to think she’s all mine for the whole weekend. “Let’s go inside.” Now you’re talking.
Closing her car door, we walk up the stairs together. As soon as she unlocks the door, I throw her over my shoulder and head upstairs.
“Not this again, Micah. Put me down right now.” Slapping her ass, I walk inside her bedroom and set her on her feet by the bed.
“Pack a bag, Beauty. You’re coming with me.” When she doesn’t move a muscle, I decide to take matters into my own hands. “If you want to run around on the boat naked all weekend long that’s totally fine by me.”
“Boat? We’re going on the boat?” Aw, sometimes she’s so damn cute. Like now.
“We’re going sailing this weekend just like I promised we would. The sooner you pack that bag, the sooner we can leave.” I’m really surprised when she doesn’t fight me. Instead, she opens her closet and grabs a bag.
I sit on the bed and watch her walk back and forth, throwing things in, taking them out. Opening drawers, walking into the en suite and coming back out with a handful of items. Only to go back in and grab more. This lasts for around ten minutes before I lose my patience.
