My mom seemed sad but agreed. “I trust your judgment.”

“What about my Uncle Trig and mom?”

“The club is keeping watch.”

“All the time?” I asked, annoyed because the decision was made without me.

“Every minute. I swear. They’re protected.”

“Because of us?” I gestured to him and me, indicating that we’d slept together.

Brick shook his head. “No. It’s for Hesh.”

My father.

“We can get into the specifics later, Ginny. It’s Christmas.”

My mom agreed. “He’s right. Get in here and eat. We’ve been waiting for you.”

Damn. That made me feel guilty.

Mom walked into the kitchen, and Brick held me in place, tilting my chin up. His eyes held mine, glittering with possession and an emotion that was too hard to pin down.

“I meant what I said. Don’t tempt me.”

The kidnapping. Yeah, I got it.

I opened my mouth to argue and decided it wasn’t necessary. Brick would have to kidnap me to get me out of this house for the foreseeable future, and I dared him to try.

Right now, I wanted to focus on the fact that I made it home for Christmas.Finally.

And this year, I brought a special guest—my Christmas biker.

Happy holidays, Dad. Wherever you are, I hope you’re smiling, knowing that we miss you, love you, and someday we’ll see each other again.

A star twinkled as I glanced out the front window, and I didn’t have to guess that Dad had answered.

Happy Christmas, my Gingee-Bear.

Epilogue Gingersnap

Six weeks later—

Brick kidnapped me.

I didn’t think he’d actually do it since he waited a week before he went through with it.

For the past five weeks, I’d been his prisoner. Okay, it wasn’t actually a jail cell. Hell, it wasn’t even a hardship.

Brick spoiled me. Anything I wanted, he got it for me.

The catch? I had to stay at the safe house, which meant I lost my freedom, and Ihatedit.

“I’m not risking you, Ginny,” he explained for the tenth time in the last two weeks. “Your safety is my priority.”

“For how long?”

“Until the threat is eliminated.”
