“Really? Who?” Sienna asked.

“Talk to Riley.”

“Hell, she’s been a bitch lately,” Sienna said.

“Sienna, no cursing. How many times have I told you that?”

She turned to him and grinned. “About a zillion. Oh, Daddy.”

The woman jumped into Kane’s arms and started kissing him like she was starved. Simon didn’t hear anything as the doors closed and the elevator started to move down.

Damn, that girl has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.

Simon carried her to the bedroom and set her on the mattress.

“This is our room, Baby.” He set her bags on one of the chairs. “Do you want to use the bathroom before we lay down?”

“Yes. I want to brush my teeth.”

“Is your toothbrush in your bag?” Simon asked.

She shook her head. “No, it’s in a suitcase. I’ll get it back, won’t I?”

“I’ll make sure of it,” he said and ran his hand down her hair. “I have plenty of new ones here for you to use.”

He showed her where everything was. “I’m going to bring you something to wear so you’re comfortable, and then I’ll make a few calls.”

Casey nodded her head.

Simon walked out of the bathroom and into his closet, pulling a shirt down from the hanger and setting it on the counter. “There, Baby. Take your time.”

He closed the bathroom doorand walked over to the bed, pulling the comforter down and pushing the blanket to the side for her. He walked over to the window and closed the drapesbefore pulling his phone from his pocket. He was talking to one of his employees when the bathroom door opened.

Jesus, fuck. He almost swallowed his tongue. She wore his shirt better than he ever could. It was so big it went to her knees, and although it should have looked ridiculouson her, it just made her look sexy.

“Simon!” the voice on the phone called out.

Simon remembered he was talking to someone. He cleared his throat. “I’ll call you back.”

He stuffed the phone in his pocket as he walked toward her. He could tell she was anxious, so he set out to calm her down.

He lifted the blanket. “Scoot in, Baby. I’m going to change, and then I’ll be back.”

Casey nodded and crawled onto the mattress. She pulled the blanket up to her chin.

Simon held back his grin before he turned his back to her and strolled into the bathroom. He showered quickly and brushed his teeth before walking out of the bathroom and into the closet with just a towel around his hips. He cringed when he pulled on a pair of gym shorts. He disliked wearing anything to bed, but he wasn’t going to push her anymore that day.

Simon turned off the closet light and walked toward the bed. He liked how round her eyes got and how they roamed over his body. When a desire-filled flush started growing over her face, he clenched his teeth together. Damn. He wished he could dive into her the way he was craving, but he wanted to wait until the stitches were out. God, it was going to be the longest six days of his life.

He slid into bed, pulled the blanket up to his waist, and turned toward her. He relaxed against his pillow. When he caught the anxiety burning in her eyes, he reached and grasped her upper arm.

“Baby, I don’t ever want you to be afraid of me. I would never hurt you.”

She relaxed and nodded.

“Good girl. Can we sleep like we did at the hospital, both on our sides and me behind you?”

Casey nodded.
