Page 40 of Daddy's Desire

Her dream of having her own daddy was coming true, and she couldn’t ask for a better one. “No. I’d like that. It fits us.”

He turned and kissed her but raised his head after a second. “We can’t start something. You’re going to be sore for a day or so.”

She was disappointed but understood. Even after the bath, she felt tender between her thighs. He released her and let her walk out into the main room. She found the menu and went over it, deciding on two steak dinners. The steak was one thing she had always craved but had not been permitted to eat.

After she put in their order with the kitchen, she walked over to the large window and looked down before turning to lookat the beautiful suite they were in. It had one large roomand two bedrooms, each with a bathroom.

She spun when the main door that led to the hall opened. Her mouth dropped open when she saw Neil, the creep.

“How did you get in here?” she asked.

He smiled. “My father owns this hotel.”

“Why are you breaking in?”

His smile widened. “We have some unfinished business.”

She crossed her arms over her chest and then lifted her chin. With Ronin nearby, she felt no fear, just disgust.

“We have nothing to talk about.”

He took a few steps toward her. “Oh, yes, we do. You were given to me. We are engaged.”

She snorted. “Not in a million years. I don’t want anything to do with you, so please leave.”

He slowly shook his head. “I think I’ll stay for a bit.”

“What you’re doing is illegal, you know?” she commented. “When you get caught, you’ll have to deal withthe authorities and your father.”

“Oh, he won’t be mad. He knows I want you.” He took another step toward her.

Courtney almost rolled her eyes as she took a few steps to the side, putting the sofa between them and Neil’s back to the bedroom where Ronin was standing. She almost shivered at the look of menace and death burned in his eyes. “Oh, I guarantee when this incident is all over the papers, it’s going to make this hotel look very bad. He’ll lose business.”

“I think we’ll come to an understanding, so you won’t tell anyone,” Neil said, smirking.

She tilted her head to the side. “What? Are you planning on killing me after you rape me?”

He looked shocked. “Who said anything about rape and murder?”

“Well, let me tell you. You’ll have to fight me before I let you touch me, and if by chance you get a shot, if you don’t kill me, I promise I will go to every paper in the city and tell them. That’s after I press charges.”

She was shocked when he just laughed. Was he really that entitled and stupid to think this would end well? “How did you know I was here?” she asked.

“It was by chance. I call it fate. I was behind the desk and saw your name. It said you were alone, so I thought I’d come up and give you some company.”

She sighed and shook her head. “You have to be incredibly stupid to think this will work in your favor.”

Neil’s face turned red with fury. “No one talks to me like that.”

“I think that might be the problem. You don’t know how to take it if someone says no to you because you’ve always gotten what you want. Your parents suck if they think they did a good job raising you.”

Courtney knew she’d gone too far at the look on Ronin’s face as he stepped behind the man. When he took a menacing step forward, Ronin surprised him by grabbing his shoulder, twirling him around, and punching him in the stomach.

Neil made a wheezy sound, clutched his stomach, and dropped to the ground.

Within a minute, several men burst through the door. Most were cops, and a few were hotel security guards.

Courtney tightened the belt on her robe and stood back as Ronin took care of everything. He finally called her over to sit on the sofa so a few cops could question her. It took an hour before they finally left.
