Margaret giggled. “You left a little something inside.”

Allison removed a red lace, bra, and panty set. “Damn. This is hot!”

Margaret smiled from ear to ear, proud of her gift.

“I won’t haveto go shopping for something now. You think Lance will notice with all of this,” she motioned over her belly, “in the way.”

“Oh, please. If anything, the pregnancy will turn him on even more. Men love to see their pregnant wives sexy in a little number like this. Trust me.”

There was that naughty laugh again. Allison pulled her in. “Thank you again, mother.”

“You’re welcome. And don’t tell Lance it’s from me.”

“Why?”

“Because it’ll ruin his experience. Trust me on that.” Allison thought it over. Her mother was right. Lance didn’t need a visual of his mother-in-law when she put on the sexy negligée.

“What are you getting him for V-Day besides this,” Margaret asked.

“I was thinking about upgrading his wedding ring. But on the other hand, he’s missing some equipment at the studio, so I purchased two cinema drones to replace them.”

“Oh. Those are expensive, right?”

“Very.”

“How did they go missing?”

“We don’t know yet, but a few months ago, Lance had his brother, Kyle, come over and install some security cameras so he could watch his studio more closely. Hopefully, he finds out soon.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.”

“Yeah, me too. Anyway. I’m going, mom. Lance and I have dinner reservations tonight at Monteverde Restaurant and Pastificio, and I want to shower and change into something cute but relaxing.”

“Let me walk you to the door.”

They left the bedroom and strolled to the entrance.

“Tell my son-in-law I said hi.”

“I will.”

They air-kissed, and Allison left.

Valentine’s Day

“Oh, my—Lance, what is this!?”

A smile ushered across Lance’s handsome face as Allison looked over a building that resembled Kumarakom Kerala Resort and Spa in India. It was their first actual date and overseas trip together.

Just like the real place, this building sat on green pastures of land, with stone elephants spouting water from their noses into a deep diving pool out front.

“This is crazy!” Allison’s mouth hung open. “There’s no way this is possible.” Her eyes were wide, and she swatted him on his chest. “How did you do this?”

Lance loved seeing her happiness. “Come, wait until you see what I have waiting for you inside.”
