Being septuplets wasn't easy on their mother's pregnancy, and as a result, Kyle and Trevor shared a heart while inside her womb. After their parents' difficult decision to separate them, Trevor went into cardiac arrest, passing away at the hospital.
Kyle, on the other hand, had grown to live a full life. News of his brother's demise was heartbreaking to them all. But to Kyle, it was like sharing his brother's experience, if only for a moment.
The dreams of Trevor that Kyle experienced regularly made sense after that. But also, they faded bit by bit with the revelation. Kyle accepted that and being able to spend time with his brother allowed him to know that he was in good hands.
Now, Kyle was feeling a bit of that heaviness again. Wishing his brother could share in the experiences that they had.
Raphael reached out to Kyle, bracing a hand on his shoulder. They all followed suit.
"We love you, too, and we all wish Trevor could be with us, but remember, just because he's not with us physically doesn't mean there's no opportunity for him to watch over us. I believe he does. You should too."
Staring at Raphael, Kyle nodded. "I do believe that."
"Do you really?" Xavier questioned.
Kyle turned his eyes to Xavier. "Yes. It's not a coincidence that he visited me the way he did as a fluke. I believe he's watching." Kyle smiled. "Thank you for reminding me."
"Anytime," Hunter said.
They turned back to the mirrors.
"You're clean, that's for sure," Lance murmured. "Almost cleaner than I was."
Kyle winked over at his brother.
"Almost," Lance reiterated. They chuckled.
Kyle flipped his wrist and checked the time on his watch.
"I had an interesting day," he said.
Next to him, Hunter readjusted his bow tie. "How so?"
"Regina Smalls stormed into my office unannounced while I was on a call with the CEO of Greystorm Entertainment.”
Curious brows rose as they all looked at him.
"Stormed?" Hunter repeated.
"As much of a storm as she could give up. I suppose it was more of a, what, sashay."
They chuckled. "Probably," Xavier muttered. "What did she want?"
"What do you think?" Lance chimed.
Kyle sucked his teeth. "She's up to something, said she wanted to warn me about London."
They all froze, waiting for him to go on.
"She's out of her mind."
"What was the warning?"
"There is no warning—she's trying to get me to her house."
Raphael folded his arms, brows dipping in concern.
"Did she invite you over?"
