Hearing Camilla’s alarming shout, Hunter Valentine pulled himself from the relaxed position in his office chair to stand on his feet.

“What’s wrong,” his deep voice barked.

“I’m,” Camilla glanced at Claudia just as another pain tore through her. “Aaaah, oh my God!”

Hunter reached for his suit jacket, removing it swiftly from the back of his leather seat.

“Where are you?!”

“I’m headed to the hospital!”

“It’s time?” Hunter’s eyes lit up on a sparkle.

“Yes, yes, baby, it’s time!”

Hunter had never moved so fast in his life. As he ran through the office, he barked orders to his assistant, then took the stairs two at a time.

“Tell me you’re not driving.”

Camilla shook her head. “I’m not, but I can explain everything when you get here. Hurry, we’ve just pulled up!”

“I’ll be there in ten minutes.”

“Okay, okay,” Camilla said, relieved.

“I love you, Angel,” Hunter said.

Tears flooded Camilla’s eyes, and she nodded. “I love you, too.”
