For the past two weeks, his days started in the kitchen, in the company of Alasdair, his loving, understanding but fiercely protective husband and their four children. A long, sweet, passionate lovemaking session was the perfect way to end a day that had been filled with various activities conducted from home. Among other things, Ardan reorganized the Starlight casinos, making them more attractive and profitable.

However, no matter how hard he tried, the man couldn't stay away from The Basefor long, and, after a lengthy talk to Alasdair, he decided it was about the time to resume his duties. Although he knew running the place involved spending many hours there, buried in work, Ardan's husband knew better than to protest. Besides, he knew the man was wise enough not to repeat the mistakes that landed him on that hospital bed.

The sleek, silver sports car stopping at the end of the driveway made the smile on Ardan's seductive lips grow wider and brighter as he recognized Caleb as the driver. A few minutes later, the young man was on the porch, his older brother's strong arms wrapped around him in an affectionate, protective embrace.

“You look great. That husband of yours has the magic touch. He knows what's good for you.” Caleb disentangled from the embrace, examining Ardan from all angles. “No kidding, big brother, you glow. When I saw you on that hospital bed...” Caleb shook his head, an incredulous look in his eyes.

“Yeah, I know. Alasdair lectured me enough on the subject. I promised to take care of myself, and I will. Enough about that, what brings you here?”

Ardan's gentle voice soothed Caleb's tense nerves, helping him to relax a little. “This morning, I had two conversations very relevant to my future with Zachary and Saint. Both informed me we can no longer see each other because they got involved with each other. Except they aren't.”

“You kinda lost me here, what do you mean by that? Why would Saint, Zachary or both of them lie to you about them being together?” Ardan frowned in confusion, waiting for his younger brother to explain his affirmations.

“They are together, but in the wrong way, for the wrong reason. I need your help to make them solve their differences because I fell for both of them, and I want the three of us to be together in every sense of the word. I've never been more sure of something in my entire life.” Caleb’s voice was pleading and passionate, his determination warming Ardan's heart.

“You can count me in, little brother. I'm with you in this all the way.”
