“Hello,” she says when I walk up to the table, big smile on her face. I can feel the heat on my cheeks, and I just know I’m blushing like a fucking tomato right now. “Good night?”

“Something like that,” I murmur, fiddling with the hem of my denim dress as I sit down. “I’m here to debrief with you, but I don’t want to hear any shit, you got it?”

She nods, trying to hide her grin and failing miserably. “So... Damon. Big D...”

“I’m going to kill you,” I say, covering my face with my hands. “But yes. It was huge. Not that I have much to compare it with, but it was basically the size of my arm.”

I lower my hand and look into her beautiful eyes.

She looks happy.

For me.

“Tell me everything, no detail is too small.”

“Well, we didn’t have sex. He didn’t want to since we only just decided we liked each other yesterday,” I explain, smiling to myself. “But we did...other things, and yes. He was very generous, and good, so good.”

With everything.

His hands, his mouth, his tongue.

Perfection.

“I’m so excited for you, and I’m so glad Damon finally realized what he had right in front of him,” she says, doing a little happy dance, wriggling on the chair.

“I wonder how River is going to take it,” I say, wrapping my arms around myself. I hate fighting with him. But this is a hill I’ll die on.

“I’ll handle River,” she assures me, reaching out and touching my hand. “You aren’t his little baby sister anymore, and he needs to accept that.”

“I don’t want you to argue with him over me,” I reply, feeling bad.

She waves away my concern. “We aren’t going to get into a fight. I will just gently tell him that you are not doing anything wrong, and neither is Damon. Love is a blessing.”

“Okay, thank you.”

It’s good to know that she will have my back if it all goes south.

But let’s just all hope it doesn’t come to that.

Jag shows up and joins us, because apparently we aren’t supposed to be going anywhere alone, and we all have lunch together and then head back.

In the car I stare at the text from Tatum and wonder if I could get some information out of him if I replied. I haven’t spoken to Romeo or River about it, and I know they’d kill me if I just texted him back without letting them know.

But I’m tempted.

Corey: What do you want to talk about?

Shit.

Chapter Seventeen

Damon

I’m working at Devil’s Play tonight, a burlesque dance club that the Devils MC started and own. Since we’ve joined our motorcycle clubs, and Romeo’s trust in me has grown, he’s been letting me handle things more and more, and tonight, I’m the one on call for any issues that may arise at the club.

Jag: Lost Lions MC members spotted in the area.

Damon: You think they’ll come here?
