Twenty-Three
Cassidy
My body was tinglingas my mind raced to process what had just happened.
Did I just have sex with Sean in the bathroom at Waldon’s?
Yes.
Was it utterly and amazingly fantastic?
Yes.
Did I regret it?
Surprisingly, no.
I didn’t have time to try to process why that initial wave of regret didn’t come because we were too busy trying to put our clothes on right before we got busted together in the bathroom.
“I’ll go out first,” he said, his voice soft as a whisper.
I nodded and checked my appearance in the mirror to make sure it didn’tlooklike I had just been thoroughly fucked.
He slowly opened the door and stepped outside, leaving it open a crack. I reached for the handle and went to open it when he yanked it shut, startling me.
“Hey, Gabe,” Sean said a little too loudly. “How’s it going.”
“Good.” I could hear the uncertainty and confusion in his voice as he answered. “Just working.”
“Yeah. Same here. Busy, busy, busy.”
“Okay...”
I pressed my ear to the door, trying to hear better.
“Um, are you going in there, or can I use the restroom?” Gabe asked.
“Oh. No. I’m um... I’m done. But you can’t use this one.”
