“You will stay here.”
“Always.”
And for the first time in my life, I think truly mean it.

Iwake slowly as I feel a little bundle of heat burrowed into my side. My eyes open, taking in the weak sun peeking through the blinds, telling me it’s just after sunrise. Then, I look down at the woman in my bed. I can’t fight the smile that curves my lips. I haven’t felt this good in a really long time.
I took her twice last night. I hadn’t planned on that because she had been untouched, and I wanted to not be an animal. Unfortunately, she had disagreed with me. I want to roll her over and take her again, but I know she has to be sore.
Easing away from her slowly, I slide out of bed. As I slip on my sweats and a shirt, I watch her slumber. She’s snuggled under the sheet, a half-smile on her lips. And just like the first time I saw her, she looks like the angel that I call her.
After a trip to the bathroom, I pad as quietly as I can out into the kitchen. I need to make us breakfast, and then we need to get to work on the puzzle that brought her into my life.
I have a mug of coffee in my hand and pancakes going on the griddle when a small hand slips around my waist. I heard her sneaking up on me, but I figured I’d wait to see what she did.
She presses her entire body against my back, and I close my eyes.
“Good morning, Angel,” I say, settling my hand on top ofhers.
“I was sad when I woke up by myself.”
I set my coffee down and turn to face her. She wraps her arms around me again, and of course, my dick notices. He’s been greedy for her since I woke up.
“I wanted to start to cook you some breakfast.”
“Hmm.” She presses her cheek against my chest. “I hope you don’t mind that I stole your shirt.”
“I like you wearing my clothes.”
She looks up at me, a smile curving her lips. “They smell like you. I like that.”
I like that too. I kiss her on the nose. “Get some coffee, and I’ll get this plated up.”
She frowns.
“You need energy for any more fun in bed.”
She’s still not happy, but she does as I say. Once we’re seated at the table, her on my lap as I feed her.
“I thought we needed to do some research, and I wanted to ask you to do something for me.”
“Anything?”
I chuckle. “You have no idea what I was going to ask you.”
She finishes chewing her last bite. “You would never ask me to do something illegal or would hurt me.”
Her immediate belief in me is astounding. “You barely know me.”
She sets her hand on my chest, right over my heart. “I know you.”
Damn, this woman.
“So, what did you need?”
