Fox chuckled, shaking his head. “I’m pretty sure that look says he cares a whole damn lot.”

He spun me around and pointed right at Samuel, who was headed across the crowded dance floor. He was moving with purpose, and he looked like he was ready to tear someone a new one.

Fox saw it, too, and evidently, he decided not to stick around and find out. He leaned down near my ear. “Have fun, pussycat.” And then he was gone.

Chapter 14

Samuel

All the way to the club, I told myself I was only going to make sure Mars and Mika were okay. Mars had mentioned some guy had been giving him a hard time, and I didn’t like the idea of those two boys being at the club by themselves. I’d managed to convince myself of that—until I saw Fox holding Mars against him as they moved to the music.

I’d known Fox was interested. Hell, he’d asked about Mars the day of the fire. He’d asked if he was single, and he’d even called him a sexy little snack.

Seeing the two of them together was all wrong, and it was also the nail in my coffin. Steven was wrong. I was exactly what Mars needed—not Fox. The boy was mine, and I was done fighting it.

I locked eyes with Fox, and the bastard had the nerve to grin at me before spinning Mars around and pointing right at me. Luckily, he was smart enough to hightail it out of there before I reached them.

“Samuel, what are you doing here?” Mars asked when I stopped in front of him.

“I came for you,” I said.

“You did?” he asked, his voice soft.

“You said you wanted to find someone who actually wanted to kiss you.” I reached up and cupped his face in my hand, and he leaned into my touch. “I figured I’d save you the trouble of looking.”

“Yes, please,” he said breathlessly.

I didn’t waste any time. My mouth covered his, and he sank into me. I’d thought our first kiss had been earth-shattering, but itwas nothing compared to this one. The only thing keeping me in check was the reality that we were in a room full of people.

I pulled back and looked down into his eyes. “Let’s go home, baby boy.”

He nodded. “I just need to let Mika know I’m leaving.”

“Are you sure he’ll be okay here on his own? I know you mentioned he’d had some problems.”

“Yeah, Andy and Caleb have his back.”

A few minutes later, we pulled up at the house and got out. The car ride had been a tense, silent one, neither of us willing to risk breaking the spell we were under.

As soon as we were in the house, I wrapped one arm around his waist, pulling him tight against me. He gripped my shirt, holding on like he was afraid I would try to get away. Not something he had to worry about.

I kissed him, and he moaned the sexiest sound I’d ever heard into my mouth. My cock grew even harder, something I wouldn’t have thought was possible. He released the grip he had on my shirt and started working on its buttons. But he was going too slow for me. I wanted it off.

I pushed his hands away and made quick work of the shirt, dropping it to the floor. I wanted skin, and I wanted it now. I’dbeen picturing his bare chest in my head ever since he walked out in that little mesh crop top.

I reached for the hem of his shirt and pulled it up over his head. As soon as it was off, I pulled him to me, relishing the feel of his body against mine.

“Be sure, Kitten. Because once I have you, I’m not letting you go. Do you understand?”

He nodded and reached for the button of my pants. “I understand.”

I reached down and stopped his hands. “I think we should take this to the bedroom.”

He nodded and took my hand. We went down the hall to my bedroom, and he shut the door behind us.

“Kismet. I don’t really want an audience.”

“Yeah, you’re the only kitty cat I want in my bed.” I trailed kisses down his jaw to his neck. “I love this collar on you. Have you ever worn one before?”
