Amelia looked over her shoulder and frowned. “And what kind of woman am I, Snoopy?”

I smirked while Snoopy blushed. “A classy one.”

Leaning against the wall next to Malice, I whispered, “Why didn’t Montana give me a place like this? It’s smaller and easier.”

“Told him to give you my place.”

“Wait a minute. The penthouse Montana gave me is technically yours?”

Malice nodded, taking a bite out of an apple he’d brought with him.

The man sure did love his fucking apples.

“Didn’t want it. Got a room at the clubhouse, anyway.”

“And now?”

Malice looked down at me and smiled. “Now, I got two rooms. One at the clubhouse and another with you.”

“You know, for a man who doesn’t like having too many things, you sure are accumulating a lot of property lately.”

Amelia walked over and said, “Tell Montana and Mercy thank you.”

“If you need anything, just let me know,” I offered. Malice reached for his wallet and extracted several bills before handing them to his mother.

The woman looked at it and shook her head. “Thank you, Gideon, but I don’t need your money.”

Malice frowned but nodded.

“Don’t worry, Malice.” Snoopy smiled, stepping up beside Amelia. “I’ll make sure she’s taken care of.”

Shrugging, Malice said nothing as he turned and walked out of the small apartment.

“He really doesn’t say much, does he?” Amelia asked, watching her son walk toward the elevator.

“No, not really,” I admitted, before running to catch up with him.

Later the next night...

“Benson Graves called for a meeting at the Gentleman’s Club. Going to need you with me later tonight,” Montana stated from behind his office desk.

“He say what it was he had on the Golden Skulls?”

“No.”

I nodded. “That bitch still with him?”

“As far as I know, yes.”

“I want that cunt in my mailroom.”

“She’s all yours, right after she spills her guts.”

“What about Benson?”
