“You have great power around you.”

I chuckled. “I don’t feel like I have great power.”

“It flows through you. You’re connected to it.”

“Okay. Does it say how I can access it?”

“It’s already there whenever you need it.”

I didn’t know what to say to that.

“I also see great tragedy in your past.”

“Do you see my parents?”

“I see sadness surrounding them. They didn’t want to leave you, but they had to.”

I was captivated.

“Can you see why they had to leave me?”

“Fear. They were running from something.”

“Can you see what?”

“It is unclear.”

“But, you will see them again.”

I paused.

“I’ll see them again?”

“You will.”

I searched my mind trying to figure out how that could be possible. They died. There was no question whether or not it was them. There were dental records and a lot of evidence.

“Okay,” I told her sure that she was mistaken.

“You are doubtful, but it is what I see.”

“Can I ask you a personal question?”

“What is it?”

“Are you a fae?”

Her eyes bounced up to the two people standing behind me before returning.

“Are you new to town?”

“I’m visiting. Nero brought me to talk to Dr. Tom about what I am.”

“And what did he say?”

I looked back at Nero wondering if I was allowed to share it. He didn’t make a move to stop me so I did.

“He said he wasn’t sure.”
