"But I was the lucky one that got to spend the most time with him since he and V were so close, you know. Eventually we grew up. I caught his eye. And we dated. It was supposed to be my happily ever after."
"So what happened?" I say, turning to look at her. She keeps washing me.
"I found out on my wedding day, that he never stopped being the guy that all the girls wanted. He overslept during his bachelor party and didn't show up to our wedding."
"He overslept?" I ask.
"Oh yeah, with two of my bridesmaids, no less."
My shoulders slump and I look at the broken woman in front of me. "Lana… you didn't deserve that."
She shakes her head. "No. I didn't." Her eyes meet mine, sad and overcome with tears.
"I'm sorry that happened."
She shrugs. "It wasn't your fault. I'd just heard all these rumors about you and the second I realized who you were I just thought I was being forced into the same story all over again. This guy that I find very attractive but could never be… you know."
She's still moving her hands over my body, but I take her wrists and force her to look at me.
"I would never do that, Lana. Whatever rumors you've heard, that's all they are rumors. That's not who I am."
"I know," she says, her voice breaking. "I think I know that now. And honestly, it's scary to admit, because… I feel like all these walls I've built up around my heart. Around love. You're breaking them… just by being you."
"I hope so," I say, pulling her to me and wrapping her into an embrace.
She's much smaller than me, she fits perfectly into my body. I rest my head on her hair and breathe her in.
"I don't do things like this," she says.
"Neither do I," I admit.
"But… I feel like I'd be missing out on something big if I didn't at least see this through." She looks up at me.
"What are you saying?" I ask her.
"Trevor, when we get back…. do you want to go out with me?"
I look down at her. "Wait, are you seriously asking me out?"
She bites her lip and nods. "Yes."
"You really are a feminist aren't you?"
She slaps my chest and laughs. "Just answer the question."
I take her by the chin and kiss her. "Yes, Lana. I'd love nothing more than to go out with you."
She smiles against my lips. "Good. Because that can't be the last time we ever have sex. That was way too good!"
I pinch her ass and pull her close to me, our tongues dancing against each other as the water pours down our bodies.
"Then let's fix that, right away." I lift her up, her legs wrapping around my waist as I push her up against the glass.
She moans against my lips. "Let's."
