I can’t hold back my snort. “Mina, first off, I know you aren’t like that. But even if you were, who cares? It’s your body and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. That’s your right. Would I be happy if you went and slept with people outside of the residents of this house? The answer is no, but that’s an entirely different topic filled with commitments and relationship shit. If we’re speaking strictly sex, there isn’t one person in this house who would ever judge you for finding pleasure where and when you want it.”

Pressing up on her elbows, I back up to allow her room to sit up. “Yeah, about that. Well, thank you for saying that. It was always a worry in the back of my head. I think with the way my parents raised me and their feelings on relationships, then with Danny always accusing me of flirting and wanting to sleep around.”

“Understandable. They’re also all fucking idiots,” I grit out, annoyed with them all over again.

“Yes, they are. But what you said about the whole outside of this house thing? I don’t think I’d be comfortable becoming intimate with you or Ethan or Max if you’re seeing someone else.” She cocks her head, thinking it over, so I let her process without interruption. “Yeah, no. IknowI wouldn’t be comfortable with that. So, if you’re actively seeing other women, I would rather hold off on moving any further. I-” Her voice cracks. “I really don’t like that idea, Vincent.”

This woman.Fuck me.

“So, you’re saying that you’re okay with moving forward with us as long as the people involved are all in this house, no one from the outside? Correct?”

She hesitates, then asks. “Does that seem selfish? That sounds really selfish of me.”

“You good if we go inside?” Her face falls, and I realize she thinks I’m ending our date. “God! No, Mina.Notwhat I meant. I want to take you upstairs.”

“O-Oh.” She seems unsure until she fully grasps what I’m implying. “Oh!”

Laughing, I push to my feet and then hop off the end of the bed. Turning, I hold my arms up to help her down.

There’s no stopping the elation I’m feeling at the look of surprise on her face. With her hands on my shoulders, mine on her waist, ready to help her down, I ask, “Do you want a ride over my shoulder again?”

Shaking her head, her shoulders bounce in silent laughter. “I can walk.” She shrieks as I haul her down, settling her on her feet.

With my hands still on her waist, I spin her around and urge her forward. Lord, help me. I smack her on the ass and say, “Get going, sweetness.” The look she delivers over her shoulder tells me everything I need to know.

She’s ready, and there’s a vixen hiding under there, ready to be dragged to the surface.

Chapter 47

I’m in Heaven

Vincent

Following behind Mina, we hurry into the house, only to meet Ethan on his way out with a cup of coffee.

Raising a brow at him, he tilts the side of his mouth up in a half smile. “Max is in his shop. I’m gonna sit out here for a bit and do some work.”

“H-Hi Ethan,” Mina stutters out. Weallknow why the two of us are rushing inside, but Ethan puts her at ease. Leaning down, he presses a kiss to her cheek.

“Hey darlin’. Hope you enjoyed your movie. I’ll catch up with you later.”

Moving closer to her, I rest my hand on her lower back and urge her forward. She takes a few steps, but keeps her head turned toward Ethan. “Idid. I, umm…”

“You guys have fun. I’m going to come up with another date idea for us. Maybe next week?” he asks her, and she instantly seems relieved.

“That sounds wonderful. I hope work isn’t too stressful for you.”

“Enough chitchat. Ethan will be great. Come on, sweetpea. We’ve got plans.” I know she’s trying to navigate the oddity of dating more than one man, but she and I have plans.

Ethan chuckles as we push through the entrance. Mina whips around to scowl at me once I’ve shut the door. “Vincent! That was rude.”

Leaning down, I push my shoulder into her stomach and lift her back over my shoulder. Laying a light smack to her ass, I reassure her. “Rude or not, we’re busy!”

Once I’ve got us in my room, I push the door shut and turn around to press her against the back of it. My lower body holds her pinned against the wood, and I back away when she leans forward to kiss me.

“Real quick, I want to check in with you. First, are you okay with this?”

Nodding her head quickly, she smiles. “Definitely.”
