Micah hugged him. “Hey, Finny. Grace said we could come straight up. Hope that’s okay.”
Finn blinked at them. “Of course. But you didn’t all need to come. I don’t think I’m that big of an emergency.”
Micah laughed. “’Course not, but we all want to help. Izzy’s got the fashion skills, Eli has the accessories, and I’m awesome moral support.”
Finn looked to Nick in question. He seemed amused as he tossed his keys in the air then caught them again.
“I drove. Plus, I was married to the guy for four years. I have a good handle on what he likes.”
Finn smiled. His heart felt like it was going to burst from all the warm fuzzies. “Oh. Thank you. I really appreciate it,” he said, trying not to wince at how formal that came out. He gestured toward his bedroom. “The disaster is this way.”
Izzy whistled when he saw the mess of clothes scattered across the bed and floor. “Well, at least you have a lot to choose from.”
Finn sighed and shoved a hand through his hair. “I guess. But most of it is stuff Remy picked out. None of it seems right.”
Eli picked up a shirt that looked nice but was kind of see-through when Finn tried it on.
“Wardrobe by Remy Dalton.” He shook his head. “Do you know how many people would kill for this? That guy has amazing taste.”
Finn shifted, uncomfortable. “He said he enjoys shopping and doesn’t get to have fun with it as often as he wants.”
“All right.” Micah clapped his hands together. “Finny, why don’t you go shower, and we’ll get things organized in here.” He put his hands on Finn’s shoulders and ushered him toward the bathroom. “Once we’re done, Xavier isn’t going to be able to keep his hands off you.”
“Are you sure?” Finn asked, smoothing his palm over the silky green button down. It felt amazing against his skin, and Izzy said it made his eyes pop, but Finn wasn’t sure if it was right for dinner. It was kind of shiny. They’d also chosen a pair of jeans that had made Izzy whistle when Finn came out wearing them. He was comfortable, but dressier than he was used to. His hair was styled and Eli had chosen his belt, shoes, and the same bracelets he’d wore to Isabella’s party. Finn guessed it was time to get Nick’s opinion.
Micah went to call him back from where he’d retreated to make a few calls while he waited. Nick was another person who worked a lot, but he still managed to make time for Micah, Ryan, and his friends.
Nick’s appreciative up-and-down look when he spotted Finn went a long way toward calming his nerves. He stopped in front of Finn and undid an extra button on his shirt.
“Here’s the thing, Finn.” Nick folded the sleeves of the shirt up to Finn’s elbows. The effect was lost a little with the cast, but Finn figured it didn’t matter too much. “Xavi likes you more than anyone I’ve ever seen him with. You could show up in an old T-shirt and ripped jeans and he would still think you’re the most beautiful thing he’s ever laid eyes on.” Nick rested his hands on Finn’s shoulders as Finn ducked his head and blushed. “Just enjoy yourself. Andbeyourself. That’s all he wants from you.”
Finn took a deep breath and let it out again. Nick was right. Xavier had never asked Finn to be anything different from what he was. HelikedFinn the way he was.
“You sound like Da—like Xavi,” Finn said, his skin prickling at his near-slip.
Nick’s grin turned wicked and Finn knew he’d been caught. “That’s ’cause I’ve known your Daddy a long time. I know what he likes.” He gave Finn a wink. “And I also know he’ll kill me if I tease you too much.”
Finn laughed into his hand. Shit. Did everyone know what Xavier was into? What Finn was into, too?
“You don’t need to be embarrassed about it,” Micah said as he wrapped an arm around Finn’s shoulders. “I’ve been known to call Ryan ‘Daddy’ in the heat of the moment.”
That made Finn feel a smidgen better.
“I call Hunter ‘Daddy’ all the time,” Eli added. “Having a Daddy is the best. It’s also hotter than hell.” He waved a hand by his face, fanning himself.
Finn giggled and peeked at Izzy, who shrugged. “Not my thing. I’ve got enough daddy issues without adding that to the mix. But trust me, we all have kinks. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. I’m not ashamed of liking it when a guy shoves me up against a wall and fucks my brains out while calling me a dirty slut.”
Finn gave up on any hope of stopping his blush. “Um. Thank you?” he said, appreciating the support but not necessarily the added detail.
“Xavier’s plane just landed,” Nick said as he looked at something on his phone.
“All right,” Micah said, clapping his hands together again. “Finny, you look amazing. Call us if you need anything. And I want all the details on Sunday.”
Sunday?
“Xavier says he’s bringing you to Sunday dinner.” Micah hugged him, followed by Eli. Izzy patted him on the back, and Nick gave him a grin and a wink. Then Finn was alone again.
What the hell was he supposed to do now?
