I stop a few feet away from them and smile. Watching them writhe around in pain has been thrilling, but now I'm bored and just want some answers so that I can get back to Jericho's and check on Sophia.
"This is your last chance to tell me something useful. I don't care about how many of you are over here or how many of you are coming, although I do appreciate you both divulging that information. What I really want to know is who's in charge. I want to know who's sent you and who's trying to bring us down. So, which one of you is going to give me the answer I want in the hopes of saving yourself from a painful, drawn-out death?" I ask, looking between them.
The one on the left scowls at me and defiantly spits in my direction.
"Go fuck yourself, you crazy bastard," he scoffs.
I raise my brows, watching him for a few more moments before I burst out laughing, shaking my head.
"Well, I guess you'll be having a nice long meeting with Adonis Blue," I tell him, nodding to the pole as I scrape it across the ground in front of him.
He glances at the pole and then back to me with a judgemental look on his face. I crouch in front of him, my lips still stretched into a menacing smile.
"You were the one that just called me crazy, so I don't know why you seem surprised that I've named some of my weapons. Honestly, I think it's a perfectly normal thing to do. Naming them and treating them well helps you bond with them and therefore, you have a better working relationship. Maybe that's why you're the one tied up, whilst me and Adonis here are the ones that'll be beating you to death."
Jericho chuckles from behind me, muttering something under his breath.
"What's that, brother?" I ask, standing back to my full height and turning to Jericho.
"I said that if he thinks you're crazy for naming your tools, I wonder what he'd think if he knew how you came up with the names for them."
I shake my head, turning back to the two Americans, this time focusing on the one tied up on the right. He watches me cautiously as I walk towards him and when I narrow my eyes at him, I watch his body tremor.
The sight of his fear sends pleasurable little shocks through my body, fuelling the psychotic part inside of me that enjoys inflicting pain on everyone who crosses me.
I raise Adonis in the air, and swing my arm forward, watching as he flinches and screams, anticipating the hit before it comes. The sickening crack that echoes through the empty space around us from metal hitting bone is like music to my ears.
"Stop!" he cries. "I'll tell you! I'll tell you who it is!"
"Well, that was easy," Jericho says, walking towards us as he pulls his phone from his pocket and calls Charlie. "Need you to come and take one of these fuckers back to the house discreetly. Alert Leo and he'll help you get to the holding cells without anyone seeing you."
He ends the call and then claps his hand against my shoulder.
"I'll take that one outside and wait for Charlie. Keep working on the other guy and find out as much as you can," he orders. I nod and watch in silence as he grabs hold of the mouthy American's bindings and begins to drag him out of the warehouse, leaving me alone with the other one who's shivering in fear on the floor.
I place Adonis on the floor and then walk over, lifting him back into a sitting position.
"Better start talking, mate. Otherwise, I'll be sure to tell my brother to take you to the holding cells as well, and I can promise you that you don't want that," I tell him.
He gulps and nods frantically, his panicked eyes moving back and forth between me and my metal pole.
"We work for the New York mafia. We've only recently become soldiers, so I can't give you much information, but I'll tell you everything I know. The boss is Brody Garcia, and his son, Lenny, is the Underboss. Lenny has been giving Frank, the Capo, orders to recruit new members, specifically to come over to London and not only spy on both the King and Rossi families, but to also try and take as many of you out if there's a possible chance."
"Well, you seem to know a lot more than I'd expect a lower soldier should."
He glances around the warehouse, shaking his head.
"The Capo gives us more information than he should because he believes it will help him gain our trust and loyalty. All I know is Brody has seen this marriage as a chance for him to bring both families down, so they're sending soldiers over here in waves to test your weaknesses and find a way in so that they can gradually bring you all down. Our only instruction has been to make sure your brother survives."
I grind my teeth together as I listen to him, putting the pieces together and understanding what he's indirectly telling me.
They're after Sophia. They think that if they kill her, it'll fracture both families, distracting us and throwing us off focus so that they can weasel their way in and attack us when we're weak.
What they haven't anticipated is the fact that this marriage is fake, meaning the Rossi's wouldn't be affected in the slightest if they killed Sophia, it'd make the King's weak for sure, but they'd also be out for revenge and I know myself that they wouldn't go down without a fight.
If it came to that, I'd be standing right by their side and I'll personally hunt each and every one of those American bastards down and I won't stop until they're all buried six feet under.
No one's getting their hands on my girl. I'll do everything in my power to make sure of it.
