“How are you feeling? Do you have good control over the elements?”I ask, trying to keep the shock, the worry, the confusion of what the hell is happening out of my voice.
“It feels completely natural yet unbelievably powerful. I have them under control. I think I could hold it for a while before having to push it out. Your power is exhilarating, princess.”
Fuck, I want to swoon at his words, but now’s probably not the time.
“So you feel powerful, pretty amped up, huh?”
“Exactly. Why?”he finally asks as he looks down at me with a panty-melting smirk.
“Because there’re multiple of you. I think I pushed too hard.”
“What are you—”he starts, but his sight follows where I’m pointing my finger.“Shit. I’m reflecting myself.”
His eyes swing back to mine and I expected to see a little shock, maybe some panic because that’s what I’m feeling, but he’s even more collected, confident.
With a flirty wink, he flicks his finger at Aurora’s ball, sending it flying straight up into the air, then he turns to me.
All six of him surround me.
“You forced my ability to power up, princess. I haven’t done that since my emerging,” he whispers as he grips my chin.
“Making multiples of yourself…that’s your boost in power?” I ask breathlessly as the heat in his eyes traps me.
“Holding reflections is more technical, but yeah, I can make multiples of myself.” He smirks at my flustered state, but I can’t help it.
Between the power I feel him radiating, that look he’s giving me, and the fact I’m surrounded by more than one of him, even though they are only reflections, I’m about to be a puddle at his feet.
With a sweet, soft kiss, he breaks our connection as his duplicates return into him and he stretches his body out. Everyone swarms us, praising and congratulating us on what just happened.
Meanwhile, all I can think about is what I would do if I could get my hands on more than one Corentin at a time.

Staring out over the view this morning is a beautiful, peaceful picture.
The guys all had things they needed to take care of this morning, and while they each invited me to join them, I decided on a little alone time. Which I’m pretty sure they all knew I needed because they didn’t push back. Plus, Gaster is meeting me here in a few. There’re things we need to discuss and things I can’t keep ignoring.
So in the rare blissful few moments of silence, I take in and cherish the scene in front of me.
The sun hasn’t crested the trees just yet, but it’s poking out, getting ready to warm the ground. The cool morning breeze has just enough chill to it that I need a thin blanket out here on the balcony, and the perfectly made cup of coffee Corentin handed me before he left warms my hands.
Just as I bring the mug to my lips, my communicator buzzes on my thigh and as soon as I see the name across the screen, I smile.
Damn, I’ve missed her.
“Fuck, I’ve missed your voice,” Oakly says as soon as I accept the call.
“I haven’t even said anything yet.” I chuckle, but as her own laugh joins mine, the sound fills the gaping hole of longing that was in my chest. “I’ve missed you too.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t come to the healing wing with Jamie. I’ve just been…”
“Wrapped up in your men’s arms because you completed your bonds?” I snicker at her outraged gasp, and I wish she were here to see my smug face.
Thank fuck I don’t actually feel the way Oakly feels during her spicy time with her men because damn, that would be so awkward, but yeah, I felt the moment she seemed to…well, I don’t know how to explain it. Her bond felt stronger, and I knew what that meant.
“Please, for the love of Elementra, tell me you did not see that in some creepy-ass vision.”
