“You’re with pup?” I ask, shocked.

“How the hell do you know this? I haven’t told anyone.” She asks in disbelief and I smile, breathing in her scent.

“Your scent is sweeter, and there is something mixing in with it that I can’t put my finger on… A sign you are pregnant.” I answer, Marcie grumbling about stupid royalblood and the stupid power behind it. Matrix chuckles, coming forward to wrap his arms around me in a hug before turning to his mate and pulling her to his side.

“I told you Crysta would know right away. You owe me fifty bucks.” He whispers, kissing Marcie’s cheek as he looks at her lovingly. Happy for my friends, I turn to the remaining two wolves who have watched this interaction with Geminie, Amberle and their mates.

“Sorry about that, I am Crystalline Thorn.” Walking to the two wolves, I stretch out my hand and the blonde she-wolf takes it.

“Lace Alibaster, Alpha of Hidden Claws. This is my brother, Mika.” Lace introduces herself, Mika coming forward to shake my hand. I take in the wolf before me, finally getting a glimpse of Geminie’s ex-mate that rejected her.

“I was told you two were coming to assist in the war.” I state, keeping my tone neutral as I get a feel for the Alibaster siblings.

“Yes. Sorry we didn’t send a formal notice, but Geminie explained the situation to us. We owe her as well, as we have our own motives.” Lace states, her honesty refreshing. I have a feeling she is a no-nonsense Alpha that rules just and fairly.

“What is the other motive?” Albot asks, wrapping his arm around my waist.

“We want to kill Coro.” I look at Mika, the hatred inside of his eyes radiating off of him as he mentions my brother. To think other than Geminie and I, someone else would hate him as much as we do.

“Why do you want him dead?” I can’t help but ask, curiosity getting the better of me.

“At the time I didn’t know it, but the Blakes had a deal with Coro and he ruled our pack from the shadows. Gem wasthe one who forced our eyes open and made Lace and I realize we needed to change in order for Hidden Claws to succeed.” He answers, his angry eyes turning sad as he looks down embarrassed. I turn to look at Geminie who just smiles at me. I know the story of her rejection, how Mika and the Blakes treated her. The rejection that followed and the pain she went through to be where she is today.

I also know she doesn’t blame or hate Mika and Lace. They changed for the better and became good friends and allies to her. If she approves of them, then I have no reason to turn the two away.

“I will have someone settle your wolves in and we can throw a welcoming feast for both Hidden Claws and Astraea.” I state, getting a surprised look from the Alibaster siblings.

“Tomorrow, the four of us can discus an alliance and sign a quick treaty.”

“The four of us?” Lace asks confused.

“Albot is my mate and will be crowned Alpha King after the war. Of course he will be present.” I answer, snuggling into Albot’s side. Lace smiles, nodding as she lets out a long sigh.

“I wish Kyle was here, but someone had to stay behind and lead our pack.” With our group now including the siblings, we head towards the council room to discuss training with Blake and Alice joining us.

?Chapter 32-United?

I smile, watching Geminie spar with Mika as the Future Moon Goddess throws him over her shoulder, the male wolf landing with a loud thud onto the ground. Lace and I stand off to the side, drinking water as we watch the wolves from Blood Moon, Astraea, Silver Crystal Crescent, Hidden Claws and the Royal Pack train with one another.

Some are focusing on hand-to-hand combat, some human form against wolves, and some fully in wolf form, their snarls filling the air while they rush to one another in a mix of fangs and claws. It amazes me with how easily each wolf was able to handle the change in training after the four packs came to help in the war four days ago.

At first we had issues, some wolves refusing to work with others while the Guards treated many of the females as weaker beings. Lace was the first to prove them wrong by taking down five males head on, leaving them a mess on the muddy ground and needing a night in the infirmary.

“Do you think we will win?” Lace asks, turning to face me with a slight frown.

“I do, Lace. We have more than enough wolves between the five packs.” I answer honestly, pride swelling with how strong we have all grown. I think about the days I spent as a Rogue, spending summer between Silver Crystal Crescent, Blood Moon, and the Temple of the Moon Goddess.

Blake, Alice, Albot, and I spent our days in the warm sun with each pack, training and running around. When Marcie joined our band of misfits, she learned how a pack genuinely cares for one another. With the help of Geminie, Amberle, Dominic, and Ariven, I was able to grow and becomestronger. With Ira, she taught me more about the history of the werewolf nation, of the way my people lived at war with Hunters. Every time I visit her, she would encourage me to touch the moonstone in the restricted area. But the timing never felt right.

“Gem and Amberle already knew you were the Lost Princess five years ago when they came to help Hidden Claws. At first it was hard to believe, but I am glad they trusted us with this information. It made the decision to become your ally when the time was right.” Surprised, I look away from the blonde Alpha to watch the wolves. In three days, I have learned just how much of a good person Lace is, how she loves her pack, and respects her brother as her Beta. It made creating an ally agreement with her easy. But to know that she knew about me even before I learned the truth about my heritage and decided to put her trust in me long before we met makes me happy.

“I am glad you agreed to help. I don’t know if we even have a fifty-percent chance to win this war with Coro. I always told everyone we would win, but I was never confident in my words until today.” I close my eyes a soft smile on my face as I think about the future everyone will have without Coro in it, how many wolves and packs can grow stronger, how our nation can become stronger. There will be calmer days as we work towards removing Coro’s wolves, to help the Soulless trapped in turmoil cross over and gain a chance to reincarnate. We just need to make it past Friday and win this war.

“I am glad that Hidden Claws can help turn the tide. We all deserve peace, you more than anyone. Let’s win this war and heal our nation.” Lace states, her passionate words having me opening my eyes to look at her. My smile grows, matching the wide grin she sports before we both set ourwater bottles down and head back into sparring. We will all need to be well-organized if we plan to win with no losses on our side.

???

The ballroom is filled with easy conversation and bits of laughter. After four long days of training, Albot and I decide to surprise everyone with a feast. We only have six days before the moonflowers bloom and Coro arrives with his army. Everyone can use a night of food and relaxing.
