“That’s because of Manny,” Riot sighs. My heart jolts in my chest. Uh, what? Does he know somethi— “All that damn food he’s been cookin’ lately. I don’t know if that dude has a death wish, but I’m sure as fuck gonna put on fifty pounds eatin’ the way I have been lately.”

“Oh, fuck, I know.” Nevada takes an enormous bite into the freshly baked cinnamon roll. “This is the best thing I’ve ever eaten… okay, aside from my ol’ ladies puss?—”

“Shut the fuck up.” Tag doesn’t usually put up with too much crap before he’s throwing punches.

“Just sayin’, he cooks a mean spread.” Nevada jiggles his eyebrows.

“He’s upped his game today,” Harlem agrees. “Don’t ever wanna piss him off or we’ll all go on strike.”

“Needs to be patched in,” I mutter. Without realizing, all heads turn my way.

Fuck.

I really need to think before I speak…

“Patched in?”Tag frowns. “You been drinkin’?”

I shrug. I’ve blurted it out, now I’ve gotta follow through.

“He’s a part of the club, why shouldn’t he be patched? He has a motorcycle, and everyone here respects him. All the women wanna be his best friend.” My palms are fuckin’ starting to sweat with the way everyone’s looking at me.

Priest rubs his chin, the first one to speak, “Bandit has a point,” he says. “I can’t believe we’ve kinda overlooked this until now.”

I mean, aside from the fact he kissed Lace in front of me last night, and I jerked off to the thought of all three of us sharing that kiss, and more, I meant what I said; he’s more a part of this club than I am, and he’s been here longer than me.

“That’s not how it works.” From Tag.

“Doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a patch,” Ryder bounces back. “All things considered.”

“Made a good point.” Harlem flicks his eyes in my direction. “Manny deserves to be patched and have his own cut. He’s worked hard for it. Might not be what we’ve done in the past, butwe’ve never had a cook like Manny before, and I doubt we’ll ever have one again as good as him.”

“Is he plannin’ on goin’ somewhere?” Cash’s ashen face matches his tone. “Did he say somethin’?”

Now I have to try and worm my way out of this. “Uh, not to me. I just was makin’ an observation.”

“Very observant of you,” Tag grumbles. “If only you could be more vigilant at the garage.”

I help Hawk mainly because my specialty is motorcycles; I love everything about them and always have. I ignore him, partly because he’s an asshole, but mainly because I don’t wanna get on the bad side of him.

Cash turns to Ryder. “You really think it’s a good idea?”

Ryder nods. “Manny is a rockstar around here. He’s one of us. I don’t see an issue with it.”

Cash looks around the room. “All of those in favor.”

Everyone ‘Aye’s’ around the room, except Tag. Cash stares him down. “You got somethin’ to say, big guy?”

Tag takes a long sigh. “Aye.” He’s never one to agree as fast as the others. I’m sure he just enjoys being an ass.

Cash’s lips twitch. “Always gotta be one little bitch around here.”

Tag flips him the bird.

“The part about patchin’ in Manny doesn’t leave this room.” He nods to Bronco. “Think you can arrange a cut?”
