“I never hated you either. I was only irritated.”

“You can stare at my naked body any time you’d like.”

I let out a snort-laugh. “I think I’ve been all locked up inside, just so embarrassed that I did that. But it was still wrong of me to stop and openly stare at your naked body without your verbal consent. You are telling me that I did have your consent, which makes me feel better, but I did know that when it happened. I was just…”

“You couldn’t look away?”

“I was stuck there.”

“How can I blame you for your error in judgement when I made my own error?”

“Which error?”

He chuckles.

“Well, it’s true that I can think of several, but I do not know if yours and mine are in alignment.”

“I thought a human was not able to lead this mission and that either a Hyrrokin needed to be the head of his project or at the very least they needed to send a different Librarian who wasn’t human.”

I grin. “Yes, that was an error in judgement.” And then I check his bone knitters on his arm and leg. The indicator on the arm says it’s almost finished. The leg has many more hours of work left.

I give him another pain injection.

Then we drink some more water, leaving enough for tomorrow. We each eat another meal replacement bar. And then we’re asleep again.

Chapter 11

Taylor

Many hours later I wake up again, similar to last time, snuggled in Sten’s warm embrace. But this time I’m on the blanket by his side and my knee is over his hip, rubbing against the outline of his hard cock. We turned off the lights this time while we slept to conserve energy.

My hands touch his warm skin and I’m on fire, wishing I had the ability to roam my hands all over his red body. I move back my leg, trying to not let him know I know he’s sporting an enormous hard on. And I try to ignore the heat between my thighs.

Sten wakes up and turns on a low light and smiles at me.

“I need to check your injuries,” I say. I peek underneath the bandages and see this male is nearly healed. “How does your arm and leg feel?”

Sten peels off the brace on his arm which now indicates fully healed. He tosses it aside and flexes his hand.

I am mesmerized by the ripple of his red muscles.

“This one is good, but the leg feels as if it needs more time.”

“Yes, it still shows you need more time. You’re still pain free?”

“There’s no pain. Only tender spots in my back still. Give me a few more hours and I should be back to normal.”

I smile wide. “I’m happy you’re doing better. I was really worried for you.”

He reaches out and cups my face with a rough hand. “I thank you for attending to me.”

I’m stiff for a moment, surprised at this gesture, but I quickly snuggle into his warmth. “Thankyoufor saving my life.” I feel a familiar weight on the top of my head and now my heart is racing and my whole body is on alert. “Sten…are you smelling my hair again?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

He looks down at me and places a finger under my chin. “You know you are beautiful.”
