Silas isn’t showing any emotion, that alone a colossal tell, and Gray looks pissed, his face red and lips pursed.

Aziel blocks my view of them as he approaches. I try to step around him, but he grabs my waist and lifts me in the air before I make it far.

“Hey!” I huff, grabbing his shoulders as he lifts me onto his chest.

He responds by slamming his mouth on mine and pressing me against the door. My body wants to enjoy his touch, this weird urge that I think is the bond pushing me to give in to him, but I fight it and shove at his shoulder.

“Put me down,” I say, wanting to talk to Gray and Silas.

This is the first time I’ve seen them in so long, and Aziel pawing at me isn’t exactly the reunion I had in mind.

Aziel growls, literally fuckinggrowls, seconds before he squeezes me so tightly that my lungs deflate.

“Mine.” Aziel pants, burying his head against my neck. “You’re mine.”

What is he going on about? It takes every bit of willpower I have to place my hand on Aziel’s ear and push his head to the side, clearing up my line of sight.

Gray holds his hand in front of his lips, but I can tell he’s fighting back a laugh by the slight shaking of his shoulders. He loves intimacy, and I’m sure he enjoys seeing this despite his anger.

Silas remains unchanged, his arms crossed over his chest as he stares at Aziel and me. He doesn’t bother hiding his disgust as his lip curls, and I hold back tears at his disapproval.

“I missed you,” I say, clearing my throat.

Silas shuts his eyes and shakes his head, and Gray runs a hand through his hair with a deep exhale. Neither of them looks pleased, and I tap my fingers against Aziel’s shoulders as I try to find the right words to say.

“You missed us?” Gray scoffs and looks away. He stares at the wall beside me, avoiding direct eye contact. “I imagine you were too busy fucking the shifters to think about us.”

I recoil, shocked by the amount of hatred that seeps into his voice.

Silas licks his lips as I turn to him, waiting to see what he has to say. He only stares, refusing to acknowledge Gray’s words. I wasn’t expecting them to be happy about my return, but I didn’t anticipate this level of vitriol.

It’s not like they’re perfect, either.

They abandoned me to be raped by Asmod. I cheated, but that punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

Aziel cups the back of my head and moans into my neck, utterly oblivious to what’s happening between Silas, Gray, and me.

“Look, I know I messed up, but I wasn’t ‘fucking the shifters,’” I say.

Aziel licks up the column of my throat, the man acting absolutely feral.

“That’s right, my little warrior. Tell them,” he encourages, his voice low.

“Which shifterdidyou fuck, then?” Silas asks.

I smash my teeth together. “You’re staring at the back of the only person I’ve ever had sex with.”

Silas slides his attention to Aziel, a look of shock briefly taking over his features before the expression disappears and he turns back to me.

“The shifter reeked of you, and you were dripping his cum,” Gray points out.

I gulp, hesitating, before lifting my chin and meeting their gaze head-on. They deserve the truth, even if it’s hard to admit.

“I was intimate with Kato and his mate, Emily. She’s a succubus, and I let things go too far. She pleasured Kato, and he touched me with his fingers. When he came, it landed between my thighs,” I say, wanting to be honest. “It only happened one time, and I left immediately after. An incubus found me while I was returning to my cabin.”

Aziel rubs my back, comforting me as my voice grows thick. I refuse to cry, and I blink away tears as Gray and Silas shift uncomfortably.

“You have no idea how much I regret it. I hate what I did, and I promise nothing like that will ever happen again.” My voice cracks, but I ignore it and continue. “I love you two so much, and I know what I did was wrong.”
