God, he hoped she was close because there was a limit to how long he could hold on.

Her body went rigid. She used the leverage of the counter to meet his thrusts as she screamed out his name. Her pussy squeezed his cock like a vise, and his control snapped.

He pounded into her without mercy, not that she was complaining. Within seconds he bellowed hers as he shuddered with his own consuming release. It sapped his strength, and he gripped the counter surrounding her with his entire body.

He kissed along her shoulder and neck, unable to get enough of her. “Babygirl, I’m so fucking proud of you. You are everything you named and more. How would you like Daddy to light a fire so we can roast marshmallows?”

After he’d removed the plug and cleaned them both up, they sat in front of the fireplace while he threaded marshmallows onto their sticks. It hit him what they’d just done. Once again, he made love to his girl ungloved.

“Babygirl, do you still have the contraceptive implant you had in Vegas?”

She nodded. “And this time, I haven’t been taking any medicine, so it works.”

That was good. He loved every minute he spent with Sadie, Sophie, and Nori, but three babies under the age of one was a heaping handful. Four babies under two… He couldn’t even go there in his head.

With her leaning back against him, he pictured this being his life, Bliss, and three amazing daughters. It didn’t scare him anymore. Someone somewhere was smiling down on him when they put Bliss in his life. Her name was perfect. She filled his life with Bliss.

He hadn’t known if he would be able to handle being in the house with three babies. Not because of them. They were the most beautiful, intelligent, happy babies he’d ever seen. He’d punch any man who said differently.

He’d never known he could grow to love three tiny humans so fast. But he had. He loved them so much it hurt. These past weeks, watching them grow, seeing the way they loved their mama and she loved them. Could that be his life?

Bliss finished her toasted marshmallow and snuggled close, putting her head in his lap. Her lids were almost closed, and her voice slurred. Yawning, she nodded. “That was amazing, Daddy. I love you.” And then she was asleep.

He wanted to trust her words, but he didn’t. As exhausted as she was, she couldn’t know what she was mumbling. But he prayed she meant them because he loved her, too. He’d never admitted it, even to himself, until now. Now, Bliss—and everyone who came with her—was his for the rest of his life.

Once they made it through the second day of the hearing tomorrow.

The next day in court, it turned out, was a different experience. Connor now understood why Sabre Security had Raleigh Stevens on retainer.

As soon as they entered the courtroom, Connor grinned. Every seat was filled with friends and family, and even a few people he’d never met. Vivi was there in a bright red cardigan, surrounded by Hutch, Reid, and the rest of his Sabre brothers. Ivy was there, as well.

All the Musketiaras, sparkling crowns on their heads. gathered in the front row, clapping and cheering as they made their way to the table. Bliss was every shade of pink he’d ever known, but she wore a bright smile on her face, and she stood tall.

“Psst.” Georgia waved them over. “We all voted last week, and we were going out to celebrate this coming weekend. But after all the shi”—a whistle interrupted her, and Hutch glared her way—"right, I mean, after all the horse hockey that went on yesterday, we wanted you to have it now.”

Leaning over the wooden bar between them, Bliss accepted the pale pink box from Georgia. All the other girls crowded closer. Bliss stared down at the box and asked, “What is it?”

“Open it and see,” Winnie said. “Hurry up!”

“Okay, okay, hold your horses,” Bliss said, opening the top and pulling back the tissue paper. She gasped, and her entire body stilled. “Oh my gosh! Are you sure?”

Breezy clapped her hands. “Of course, we’re sure. The vote was unanimous. Let’s see you try it on.”

Bliss handed the box to Connor and carefully pulled out a sparkling tiara. Turning to face him, she held it out, beaming with joy. “Can you put it on me, Daddy?”

There was his babygirl. He would have to thank Reid and the rest of the guys for bringing their Littles. “Of course, babygirl. Hold still.” He performed the coronation, and another round of claps and cheers echoed through the courtroom.

She stared up at him, worried. In a whisper, she asked, “Do you think they’ll be mad if I don’t wear it during the hearing? I’m afraid the judge won’t understand.”

“They won’t mind, sweet girl. They’re here because they are on your team.”

She nodded, turning to thank all the girls, laughing and chatting until the judge entered the court.

Raleigh leaned over and grabbed Bliss’s hand. “I know yesterday was hard, but I promise, today is going to be very different.”

Connor hoped he was right. His Little girl had a lot to lose if this went south. He stopped worrying when Raleigh called his first witness.

“We’d like to call Mrs. Diana Bartram to the stand.”
