London must have heard it in her voice because he drawled softly, “Don’t worry. I got you.” She smiled. He always said the right things. He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers, and as he kissed her, Bianca thought about Collin’s request.

What in the world have I gotten myself into?Once London found out about Collins’ return, their marriage would never be the same.

Chapter 13

London reached for the Waterford decanter that his wife had given him for Father’s Day and poured a shot of cognac into a matching glass. He brought the glass to his lips and took a sip, appreciating the burn at the back of his throat. While he sipped, his eyes moved toward the stairs where he was waiting for Bianca to appear. The limo driver was already parked in front of the house.

Hearing movement, London finished the drink with one swallow then lowered the glass to the table. His gaze traveled to the top of the staircase, and this time he sucked in a slow intake of air. As Bianca slowly descended the stairs, he took a lazy tour of her body in a red backless gown with a floor-length skirt that flared below her slender waist. Her hair was up in a sophisticated updo that revealedTiffany Victoria pearls and diamond drop earrings to complement the look.

“You look beautiful, Mrs. Brown.”

Turning in a circle, she modeled her gown while he whistled in appreciation. Watching the sway of her hips had his body heating in all the right places.Down boy.

Bianca sauntered into the room, batting her eyelashes flirtatiously as she said, “Watch it now. My husband might be listening.”

Taking her hand, London tugged her closer until Bianca’s curves were flushed against his. “Well, I hope he realizes how lucky he is to have you.”

“Oh yes,” she purred and stared up at him. “He reminds me every chance he gets. And tonight, I plan to show him how much he means to me.”

London swooped in and gave her a long hard kiss that caused heat to fill his groin. When she drew back, he stared down into her beautiful walnut-colored eyes and groaned impatiently. “I can’t wait.”

He helped Bianca into a long wool cape then slipped into a double-breasted wool coat.

“It’s cold, so bundle up, babe,” he told her as he removed the gloves from his pockets and put them on his hands. As soon as Bianca tucked her purse underneath her arm, London placed a hand at her elbow and escorted her out to the Bentley limousine. The driver hurried to open the door for them and waited until they were comfortable in the back seat before moving around to the driver’s seat.

“Babe, this was a wonderful idea,” she said, looking over at him adoringly.

“Tonight, I don’t want us to worry about having to drive anywhere. Especially when I have other plans.”

“Plans?” she asked curiously. “What’s up your sleeve London?”

He chuckled. “You just enjoy the evening and let me handle this.”

“I love a man who’s in charge.”

London leaned over and gave her a lingering kiss. He could never get enough of her.

“Have you checked on Sierra?” She was staying the weekend with Denise.

Reaching over, he turned on the music, and soft jazz filled the limo’s rear as he said, “She’s fine. Denise is going to take her to school tomorrow.” The entire cast is doing a dress rehearsal. “Otherwise, she’s going to enjoy spoiling her niece.”

Bianca beamed. “I know she’s in good hands.”

“Yes, and tonight is about us.”

“We finally get a night out alone, and the first thing I want to talk about is Sierra,” Bianca said and chuckled.

London laughed along with her and then sobered and stared. “No matter how old she gets, she will always be our baby.”

They shared a look and smiled. Bianca was so beautiful London felt his heart somersault. He moved closer. “Are you still serious about having a baby?”

She tilted her head to stare up into his eyes and then nodded. “Yes, I want to give you a son.”

He took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together. “What if it’s a girl?”

“Then we can always keep trying.”

“No, I think living in a house with three females would be more than enough.”
