Page 85 of Asher

The moment I entered his house, he was standing there,

Then he moved, and he moved to wrap me in his arms, and I got my hug.

I pressed a kiss to his chest, right over his heart.

Then he lowered his head and whispered, “This is payback for what you called me earlier.

I scrunched my brows, “Payback for...”

And that was all I got out.

Because one minute I had my head on his chest, and the next I was up and over his shoulder, then being tossed on the couch, and he was tickling me.

“I give up,” I said through tears. “I give. I give. Uncle. Uncle.”

Asher grinned down at me, and stopped tickling me, then he whispered, “Not your fucking uncle.”

I winked up at him, “No. You’re my Asher.”

He nodded, “Nothing else I’d rather be.”

Then we heard Stella’s voice, “Okay, I have my eyes closed. If I run face-first into something, I’m sending you the hospital bill.”

I giggled, “We’re not naked, Stella. Geez.”

Her hand lowered slowly, and then her fingers moved so she could peak between them.

I laughed at her.

Stella shook her head, winked at me, then headed to the clubhouse.

Apparently, Asher had cooked us dinner and kept it warm for when I got off work.

His only words were, “You’ve been working hard. The last thing you need is to cook, Doll Baby.”

I rewarded him with a hot, scorching kiss.

And since today was Friday, after we ate a delicious meal that consisted of garlic buttery steak and loaded mashed potatoes, he asked if I wanted to go to the clubhouse.

Since I hadn’t seen him as much as I would have liked this past week, I readily agreed.

Rock music was flowing out of the speakers.

Good times and good vibes.

Moonshine was in a few cups; shots of whiskey were being thrown back.

And ever since Asher had looked at me with heat in his eyes, I knew.

Thankfully, I’d stuck to soda this entire time.

Which was why I walked over to where he sat in the corner, leaned down, his beard tickled my neck, and there against his ear, I whispered, “Take me home and make me yours in every way possible.”

I pulled my head back and took in his eyes, he stared into mine and then asked, “You have anything to drink?”

I grinned, “No.”
