He growls into my neck as his hands grab my ass, forcing me to grind on him. “I bet you won’t be saying that after this.”

“After what?” I moan as his fingers slide into my pants.

I can feel him smiling against my neck but he doesn’t answer me. Instead he unbuttons my pants, pushing them down my hips.

“Landon, what are you doing? We’re outside!”

His hands go to his own pants, releasing his dick. “It’s pitch black out.”

“We are on the side of the highway!”

“We are,” he agrees just as he lifts me up, using the side of the Jeep as leverage before slamming into me.

I scream at the intensity and he covers my mouth with his to silence me. I want to push him away but his dick is doing things to me that make me unable to do anything but succumb to the pleasure.

He laughs into my mouth when he feels me surrender to him. “You still think you’ve had better?”

I moan into the night air as I look up at the stars above us. Hell no. He is the best I’ve ever had but I am finding too much joy in this to let him know. “It’s possible.”

“Woman!” he shouts as he pulls out of me and sets me down.

I think he is just going to stop but he spins me around so fast I stumble in my wedges. He grabs my hands and wraps them around the roll bar of the Jeep before grabbing my hips and thrusting back inside of me. He’s rough, fast, and hard. My breasts smash into the side of the Jeep with every thrust but he has me so close to the edge I don’t even care. Right when I am about to come he slows down. His hands cup my breasts before sliding across my stomach and down to my clit. He presses his finger against it so lightly before slamming into me again.

My orgasm hits me hard and I bite down on my arm to mute my screams. He picks up his pace, slamming harder and harder while I ride out my orgasm. Stars flash across my vision as my orgasm seems to never end. My body pulses around him as his teeth clamp onto my shoulder as he finds his release.

He trails kisses up my neck as one hand circles my clit, the other circling my nipples. “You still sure?”

I go to make some sassy remark but he pinches my clit and another orgasm hits me out of nowhere. White heat sears through my whole body as my head falls back onto his shoulder. His lips trail up to my ear before he sucks the lobe into his mouth.

“You’re the best I’ve ever had, Mar.”

I turn my head to look at him as best I can from this angle. “You’re everything I never knew I needed, Landon.”

He pulls out of me and spins me back around. His lips are on me in an instant, his tongue pressing into my mouth, his hands gripping my body like it’s a lifeline.

The kiss ends too quickly.

“We should probably get out of here before the cops stop by.”

I forgot we were outside, on the side of the Pacific Coast Highway, no less. I pull up my pants and adjust my shirt. We both climb back into the Jeep and Landon pulls back onto the road. Our fingers entwined.

I think he is going to head home when he takes a quick turn off the highway and down a steep bumpy road. “Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

We clear the road and hit the sand. He drives down the beach taking us closer to the water until we come across a rock formation. He throws the car in park and grabs my hand after we get out, pulling me to an alcove of rocks.

“This is my favorite spot. I feel hidden from everyone, yet I can still see the ocean. See the one thing that makes me feel safe.”

He guides me through the rocks before we hit a clearing that butts right up to the shoreline. He helps me onto a rock before pulling me into him so I am sitting between his legs, my back to his chest. We sit and watch the waves crash against the boulder. The stars sparkle overhead. The smell of salt air caresses our noses.

“Why do you love the ocean so much?”

He rests his chin on my shoulder. “I guess being in the Navy. When you’re out at sea there is nothing around you. The ocean determines your fate. I would spend my nights sitting on the deck of the ship, watching the steady crests of the water. I guess I just loved how something so powerful, so mysterious could help me find peace. Most sailors feel that way.”

I run my fingers over his legs as he speaks. My heart beats for him. I can feel it falling and it scares the shit out of me. But as we sit with the calming waves of the ocean around us, I don’t find it as scary. Because I could fall for this man. I could love him. I could see my life here with him.

“When things got too hard for me when I was a teenager, I used to take the bus out to the lakeshore. Behind the planetarium there are stone steps. If you look far enough out, you can pretend there isn’t a huge city behind you. I would pretend I was sitting on a boat in the middle of the lake, staring up at the stars, wishing the boat could take me away from the life I was living.”
