I’m so turned on, and it feels like the heat from him and the brush of my clothes against my body are going to be enough to send me over the edge soon.
“Take me upstairs,” I demand, and his head lifts as his dark blue eyes lock with mine.
“Are you sure?”
“Uh-huh.”
That’s all it takes, and then he’s lifting me into his arms like I weigh nothing. I gasp, clinging to him as he turns and heads up the stairs and down the hallway towards his room.
“How are you doing this?” I blurt, and he frowns.
“What? Doing what?”
“Lifting me? I’m not exactly… light,” I finish, my cheeks heating with a blush.
“Letty, I was a Marine. I used to carry rucksacks that weighed more than you on my runs. You’re light as a feather.”
“Can I tell you something?” I ask as we head into his room.
“Of course. You can tell me anything. Anytime.”
“I’ve always kind of wanted to be like manhandled during sex,” I blurt, and he stumbles, nearly tripping over his feet.
“Say that again?” He asks, his voice coming out low and deep. There’s an edge to it now, and I wonder if he’s as turned on as I am.
“Like, you would see movies or sex scenes in tv shows, and it was always like the girl up against the wall or on the kitchen counter or in the shower. I’ve always been curvier, and I guess I just never thought that I would be able to have that.”
“I’ll give you that. I’ll do anything that you want,” he vows.
“What do you want?” I ask him.
“Letty, baby, you’re all that I want. I’ve imagined fucking you in a hundred different ways. Maybe a thousand.”
“No, you haven’t!” I gasp as he sets me down on the bed.
“Swear to God. You’re all that I’ve thought about for the last eight months, two weeks, and four days.”
“You never said anything,” I say softly, and he nods.
“I didn’t think that you saw me that way, and I didn’t want to take advantage of you or make you uncomfortable. I thought that I could win you over slowly,” he says.
“And then the auction happened.”
“And then I found out that you had signed up to sell your virginity at that damn auction. It sped up my plans.”
“Ten million was an insane bid.”
“You’re worth every penny. I would have bid more. I would have spent every cent I had if it meant winning you. I just wish that you had come to me and asked for the money. I would have given it to you in a heartbeat.”
“I just didn’t want you to think less of me. I mean, I’ve been trying to come across as poised and responsible, and how would it have looked if I told you that I owed two hundred and fifty thousand to a loan shark?”
“You would have explained about your brother, and I wouldn’t have thought any less about you.”
“I know that now. I just…”
“I know. We both wasted time with each other, but I’m ready to make up for it now,” he says, and I nod.
“Me too.”
