“Your highness.” The Tref gives me a low bow.

The Remek warrior narrows his eyes. I glare back and my hand automatically goes to my weapon.

As does his.

“Azul, my love, have you arranged everything yet? I’mexhaustedbeing stuck in your little ship, and I want some pampering.” A sweet, bright voice interrupts our posturing.

“Jenna, my goddess.” I swing away from the pair in front of me with a wide smile. “I didn’t want to wake you.”

She’s wearing her wedding dress, and my coils go weak at the sight. Here on Luxus, with its pink hued sunlight, the garment sparkles like a hundred thousand gemstones, and not for the first time, I’m wondering exactly what Starlight Brides is and how they can get such a detail so perfect.

“I was already awake.” Jenna looks back at the ship, pauses, but recovers. “After all, you do insist on bringing such a tiny space cruiser for these trips.” She puts her hands on her hips, and my cocks threaten to emerge from my slit.

“My goddess, you know my larger ships are all in use for transport of our gemstones. Anyway, this is supposed to be our…”

“Honeymoon?” Jenna fills in my flailing. “I’ve yet to see if what you suggested is worth it, but”—she gazes around looking like she’s smelt something bad—“so far, I am not impressed.”

“Please, Princess, let me show you to your accommodations. Luxus is not at its best in the spaceport,” the Tref quickly steps in.

Jenna looks at me, her eyes widening as she looks between me, the Tref, and the Remek before recovering herself and glaring at me.

“Yes, my princess, at least look at the accommodation first. I am arranging for you to have the new wardrobe you require.” I give the Tref a pleading look.

“Very well, I’lllookbut I’m not guaranteeing we will be staying,” she fires at the Tref.

I check out the Remek, who is staring at Jenna in such a way, I can’t quite stop a growl filling my throat.

“Mine.” The word emerges before I can stop it.

“Believe mePrinceAzul, that female is all yours,” he responds as he backs away and goes to complete his check on the contents of another ship.

Jenna looks at me, grins in an all too brief second before I link arms with her and we follow the Tref out of the spaceport.

JENNA

“It might have been helpful if you’d told me we were posing as some sort of royalty,” I hiss at Azul as we settle into some luxurious ground transport.

Although I should have expected something was up when I exited the ship to find him dripping in gold and jewels. Several large neck pieces and two heavily laden cuffs around each wrist, which on the one hand made him look like a super rich playboy and on the other also made him look extremely sexy.

And I should know better than to be swayed by looks, although it’s clear the staff on Luxus are taken in by him.

“If we want to get close to my mark, we need to splash the credits…and a reputation…around.”

“And the best cover you could come up with was royalty?” I query.

Azul gives me a brief glance. “It’s worked before,” he says, the tip of his tail tapping on the floor of the transport, the sound muffled by the luxurious floor covering. “And it’s working again.” He nods out of the window. “This is not the accommodation I booked.”

I follow his gaze. We’re pulling up outside something which resembles images I saw on Britannia, photographs of dwellingsknown as “mansions.” It’s constructed in white, bright stone and gold metal and is completely huge.

“How many are staying here?” I whisper.

“Only us. It looks like our cover worked.” Azul grins at me. His enthusiasm is infectious. “All we have to do is keep it up.”

“Believe me, I can be a bitch all day, every day,” I respond.

Azul leans into me, his head in my hair, and he inhales deeply.

“As long as you’re my goddess in bed,” he murmurs.
