I groaned. “Fine. Yes. It’s new, and I don’t know what’s going to happen, so don’t make a big deal about it.”

Dom grinned. “Fucking finally.”

“Just be happy. That’s all we care about.” Tally paused and made a face. “But about Ray.”

“Yeah, can we not bring him up? He still doesn’t know Josie’s staying with me.”

“Shit, dude. Why not?” Tally asked.

“Josie didn’t want to tell him at first, and we haven’t discussed it since,” I said. And frankly, I didn’t want to tell him until I knewwhere I stood with Josie. I wanted more than just a short-term hookup, but I had no clue when she planned to leave Denver.

“That could be dicey,” Dom said.

“No shit,” I muttered.

JOSIE

“They look so much better tonight than the other night against Vegas,” Cora said as we watched the game later that night. It was currently tied up at one each with four minutes left in the first period, so it was still early.

I was up in the WAG suite and already missed being close to the glass. I wanted to see the sweat on Micah’s face close up, not just on the jumbotron or the smaller TVs in the suite. Ugh, I was so freaking gone for him.

This afternoon had rocked me, and I swore I was still getting hot flashes from it. The mouth on that man was five-chili-pepper level.

Okay, maybe four. I’d read some seriously spicy books.

But I had never expected it from my Micahtron. I bit back a giggle and felt my cheeks flush at the memories of us having sex on the dining room table. The same table where I pictured him while I was drawing my NSFW artwork. I should thank him for the hands-on research.

Oh, his hands.

“Yeah, I hope they can pull off the win tonight. Vegas was brutal,” Ally said, pulling me out of my lusty haze.

“Yep. They look good,” I echoed, catching Harper’s grin out of the corner of my eye. We were sitting in the front two rows of the suite, and Harper was next to me. That was probably my first mistake.

“Yeah, real good,” she said. “So, Josie, how is it going with Micah?”

Shit stirrer.

“Ooh, yes. You breezed in here right before the game started, so we didn’t get to talk about him. He looked great during warm-ups. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up,” Cora said with a smile.

I hadn’t given them too many details when we’d watched the game against Seattle four nights ago. A game that they’d won, further cementing Micah’s belief that I needed to attend all home games since they’d then lost the game against Vegas.

“Yeah, she’s keeping it up,” Harper muttered, and I shot her a glare.

“Ooh, fill us in. Dom hasn’t said much about you two because Micah is secretive, but I have to ask if something happened, like two weeks ago. Dom was chuckling when he told me he had to go meet Micah on their day off for a workout on the roof.” Ally laughed softly. Livi was sleeping against her chest in some baby-wrap thing, a cute pair of pink baby headphones covering her ears.

I was amazed that she could sleep through all the noise and lights in the arena.

“What? Haha. That’s amazing,” Harper said.

“Uh, yeah. Teasing him was in full swing that day.” I shrugged. “It’s just so easy to do that I can’t ever resist.”

“Now you totally need to fess up,” Cora said.

“I honestly don’t know what’s going on other than that we’re having fun together, and I have zero complaints.” I could feel the heat in my cheeks.

Harper smirked. “I bet you don’t.”

At least she hadn’t shared with the group that Micah was a dirty talker. I was going to keep that to myself—well, aside from Harper knowing. Figured Micah wouldn’t want that spread around, even if it made him look like a stud.
