“Yep. All good,” I replied quickly, then focused on my phone again.

Darcy: What’s going on? Dom driving you crazy?

Ally: YES! Send reinforcements.

Ally: I want to bang my baby daddy.

Darcy: Is that really such a bad thing?

Ally: Yes. It will make things messy. Roommates is the smarter way to go.

Darcy: And you’ve been doing so well with that, so what’s going on tonight?

Darcy: He walking around with no shirt on or something?

I giggled.

Ally: Fully clothed, unfortunately.

Ally: We made dinner together and it was nice, but it’s close quarters in there.

Ally: I mean, not really. It’s a good-sized kitchen, but he’s a good-sized man, and we kept bumping into each other.

Darcy: And now you want to bump uglies?

Darcy: I hate that expression.

Ally: Same. And yes. I do. But I shouldn’t.

Darcy: You think he wants to?

Ally: Yes. He’s wearing these damn loose shorts, and yeah, he wants to.

Darcy: TMI

Darcy: Kidding. Tell me everything.

Grinning, I looked over at the kitchen and barely stifled my gasp.

His eyes were locked on mine as he did the dishes. From this short distance away, they looked like molten chocolate.

He was so freaking hot. My nipples scraped against my bra, sensitive and practically begging for attention.

Darcy: Earth to Ally. You abandon me to get some action finally?

Ally: Um. Still here. He’s doing the dishes.

Darcy: And he does dishes? Swoon. Go climb that man right now. Okay, wait until he’s done in the kitchen.

Darcy: Just be aware that I do dishes, too. This is Jake. Darcy has to go do her own swooning.

I dropped my phone. Shit.

Darcy: Sorry about that. He made a comment about me looking moony, and I threw my phone at him by mistake. I promise he didn’t scroll back.

Ally: OMG. He better not report any of this back to Ethan.

Darcy: If he wants to get any of this action, he won’t. I promise.
