“What?” I barked.
Seriously, of all the fucking people to marry, I said “I do” to this irritating man? Maybe I needed to see a therapist.I wondered if Tristan’s girlfriend, Evie, would give band members a discount?
“Trust me. I’ll get this fixed as fast as possible. No one needs to ever know that this happened.”
I pinched the bridge of my nose. “Good.”
“It’s not like this is good for me, either, if it got out.” He looked exasperated, and I wanted to punch him in his stupid, smug face.
“Are you kidding me right now? For you, this is only an oops that no one will hold against you. For me, it’s totally different. I willnotbe a joke, Josh.”
“You’re not a joke. How many times do I have to reassure you? I’ll get this taken care of.”
“CH! Hey, CH, you in there?” Jax’s voice carried through the door, and I froze. “Wakey, wakey.”
Please god, no. This was what I did not need.
“Stay here. I’ll get rid of him,” Josh said, pulling on a pair of lounge pants that did nothing to hide his delectable ass.
I pulled the pillow over my face as he slipped on a T-shirt.
“Don’t smother yourself. I’m going to need you to sign the annulment papers,” he said.
I could hear the smirk in his voice, but I refused to acknowledge him as he shut the bedroom door behind him. At least he’d gotten a fancy suite, so I didn’t have to go hide in the bathroom.
How the hell was I going to escape this clusterfuck of a situation? The last thing I needed was someone catching me on the walk of shame from Josh’s room. They’d believe the worst.
Chapter 4
JOSH
Isuckedinabreath as the door clicked shut behind me. What in the ever-loving fuck had I done?
Married.
To Charlie.
If the guys found out, they would crucify me, and Jax would be the worst.
Last night was a blur, yes. Butmarried?
That was beyond insanity.
“CH, open up,” Jax barked again from the hotel hallway as I took one last glance at the closed bedroom door.
Epic nightmare. Of all the people to show up at my room this morning, it had to be Jax.
I went to let him in before he woke up the entire floor. “Why are you screeching?”
Jax came bounding in, and I hoped to hell he didn’t start opening doors.
“Excuse you. I only screech on stage. You know that, CH. How’s the hand?”
I froze.
Fuck.
“The what?”
