As soon as we escaped the guys, she was all mine, and I had no plans to let her up for air anytime soon—at least, not until we were back on the bus in three days.
“CH, you okay over there?” Jax asked, cutting into my thoughts about everything I wanted to do to my wife.
The fucker was grinning, and I still hadn’t figured out his angle. He knew this was a fake marriage, and he’d warned me not to be stupid or hurt Charlie, yet he was always grinning at me like he knew something I didn’t. Or maybe I was reading too much into it since the fucker was typically grinning about some nonsense or another.
I didn’t want to examine the feelings I was developing for Charlie because I knew this thing could never go anywhere. I wasn’t sure I even believed in happily ever afters.
Chapter 16
CHARLIE
Iwasgettingtwitchy.Who even knew that was a possibility? I was twitchy because we’d left LA five days ago—correction, we’d left Josh’s condo five days ago—and we’d been stuck on a bus with my bandmates and no opportunity for sex.
Dammit.
I wanted him badly, but having sneaky sex in a tight bunk wasn’t an option, and they’d know something was up if we went into the bedroom together. Not to mention that there was no soundproofing on the bus and Josh brought out my vocal side.
My thighs clenched.
And here he was, looking all hot and tousled after waking up and walking out into the living area of the bus. It was around six a.m., and we still had a few hours until we hit Austin. The rest of the guys snored in their bunks.
Annoying.
“Couldn’t sleep?” he asked, plopping down on the couch next to me.
“Nope. You?” I asked.
He reached out, trailing his finger down my exposed arm. Goose bumps followed in his wake.
“I could hear you twisting and turning. Every sigh reminding me how much I want to hear you sigh my name when I’m inside you again,” he said, his voice low and full of a need that continually matched mine.
“Josh, we can’t.” There was no conviction in my voice as he leaned in and pressed his lips against the spot behind my ear. I shuddered, my nipples pebbling under my tank. I was currently braless since I’d stumbled out five minutes before Josh had appeared, and I wasn’t in the mood to actually get dressed yet.
The guys didn’t care. And my boobs weren’t massive, so I could easily slip on a sweatshirt and no one would know anyway.
“They’re all snoring and I fucking miss you in my bed,” he said against my jaw, one hand in my hair and the other one slipping under my shirt.
I bit back a moan when his thumb grazed against my bare breast, tweaking my nipple.
“Fuck, Charlie,” he said, cupping the weight of my breast in his hand while he peppered kisses along my jaw.
Heat roared through me, and I bit my lip to stay silent.
I glanced toward the closed door separating us from the bunks and said a silent prayer for everyone to stay asleep. I knew our driver couldn’t see us from this angle, and he was supposed to be focused on the road anyway.
Josh’s thumb grazed my nipple again as his mouth moved over my cheek.
Fuck it.
I shifted and quickly straddled his lap.
He groaned against my skin as I settled against his hard cock. I wished there was nothing between us, but thank god for thin sleep clothes because I could feel everything. Heat pooled at my center, and I silently willed Josh to discover that I wasn’t wearing panties.
Fuck. I wanted him beyond reason.
“Charlie,” he growled as I rocked against his cock, his forehead pressed to mine as he panted.
“Clothes have to stay on. We’re going to make out for a bit and watch a movie,” I said, my voice breathless as he slipped a hand under my shorts, his fingers tracing along my wet lower lips.
