“Looks a little big and the hole along the collar looks familiar,” he said, grinning.
She lifted the phone. “Fine. It’s yours. I have to do laundry and this was in the laundry room.” She hoped she sounded nonchalant.
“Oh sure. Already stealing my clothes,” he tutted.
“Shut up. It’s comfy,” she shot back, keeping her voice low.
The last thing she wanted was Ava walking into the room and finding her best friend talking to her brother.
“What are you wearing under it?” he asked, wiggling his brow.
“Stop it. None of your business.”
“Well, I’m going to imagine that you have nothing on underneath, and when I get back in a few days, we are going to pick up right where we left off,” he stated, like he was having a mundane conversation and not setting every nerve in her body on fire.
“Good night, Max,” she said, needing to end the call before she said anything damning, or asked him what he was wearing under the sheet.
“Good night, Gabi. Hope your dreams are filled with me.” He smirked.
“You’re so annoying,” she muttered.
“Again, the word you’re looking for is amazing. Sweet dreams, Gabster,” he said, and then the screen went black.
What the hell was she going to do about him? And where had she stashed her vibrator?
