“Have what? What the fuck is going on?” he asked, swiping another bit of cream onto the floor. Were his fingers tingling?
“Shit. He’s going to murder us,” Crow said.
“I’m going to murder you if you don’t tell me what the fuck is going on,” Max said, trying not to panic. What was wrong with his face?
“I’m sorry, Baz,” Sully said.
“About what?” he asked.
Sully gestured to Max’s face. “I thought I grabbed the whipped cream,” Sully said.
He held up a bottle of Nair; then he held up a can of whipped cream.
Panic set in.
“What the fucking shit hell. Are you trying to tell me that I have Nair—fucking Nair—on my beard?”
“I’m sorry,” Nessie said.
“Do you know how long I’ve worked on this masterpiece? And you destroyed it right before we have to go win the Cup. What the fuck is wrong with all of you?” he roared, grabbing a towel to clean the rest of the fucking hair removal cream off of his face. Shit. He was going to lose his eyebrows, too.
“I’m sorry, Baz,” Crow said.
Motherfucking hell. These cocksuckers were going to get it so bad. His wrath would not be tamed after this.
Had it gotten into his hair? He was going to look like he had a damn receding hairline now.
He ran for the shower. He had to get it out before any more damage was done.
Then Gabi walked into the locker room.
“Everyone decent?” she called out.
“Look at what they did to me. You’ll still love me without my beard and my eyebrows, right?”
She snorted and the rest of the room burst into laughter.
“Fuck all of you. Laughing at my demise. My wrath will not be assuaged,” he yelled.
“He should’ve auditioned for that Viking show. That temper and his hair are spot on.” Nessie grinned.
“I’m coming for you first, fucker.”
“Max. Max. Calm down,” Gabi said, putting her hand on his arm.
“What are you even doing here?” he asked.
“I had to see if my prank worked,” she said, calm as she fucking pleased.
“Your prank? You told them to use Nair? I thought you loved me.”
More laughter.
“It’s whipped cream, Max. We pretended it was Nair.”
“What?”
“Looks like Prank Sinatra met his match,” she said, grinning.
