“Congrats on an awesome game,” she said before she met him the rest of the way and kissed him. She’d missed his mouth way too much.

It didn’t matter that she’d kissed him last night at the coffee shop. She had quickly come to want his kisses constantly. And while her brain tried to remind her that this wasn’t a good thing, her body told her brain to butt out and let her have some fun.

She deserved fun. It’d been way too long.

He deepened the kiss, and she almost fell off her barstool as the intensity increased. Fuck, his mouth was perfection.

But then the catcalls wormed their way into her brain and she broke the kiss after one too many Get a rooms.

“Where’s Penny? I need a congratulatory kiss like that,” Ethan said, and Darcy’s cheeks flamed hotter.

“Definitely need to score more goals if that’s my reward,” Jake teased.

“Sorry. Got carried away,” she said, willing her voice to return to normal. Yelling at the game, and then pure lust rocking through her from the kiss, made her voice raspy.

But the look in Jake’s eyes as he focused on her lips made her want to kiss him again.

She was so screwed, and she wasn’t sure if she was upset about it anymore.

If she keptlooking at him like that, he was going to rush her out of the bar and convince her to come home with him. He wasn’t sure what had gotten into her, but he refused to believe that kiss was just for show.

“So, be honest. You totally love hockey now.”

She laughed. “Maybe. The games are fun, although my voice is destroyed,” she said, her cheeks still pink.

He ached to know how far her blush currently spread and if he could make her entire body blush. His cock hardened at the thought and he willed it to calm the fuck down before anyone noticed.

He turned his body into hers, blocking out everyone, and one of her hands landed in the center of his chest. His heart raced beneath her touch and it took everything in him to keep from lowering his head and kissing her again.

Wait. Fuck that.

They were dating.

He only had to meet her halfway before he was kissing her again, swallowing her soft moan as she curled her fingers into his dress shirt.

Fuck. He could get used to this.

When he broke the kiss, all rational thought had been obliterated, so he pressed his forehead against hers and said, “I think we should renegotiate.”

He waited for her to push him away and tell him hell no, but she bit down on her lower lip. The lip that he wanted to suck on.

“I’m open to renegotiating. But not here,” she said.

“My condo is always available, and no one will show up unexpectedly,” he said.

“Sounds perfect,” she whispered against his mouth.

“Then let’s get out of here,” he said, and she hopped off the stool, bumping her head into his.

“Ouch,” she muttered, rubbing her forehead, and he laughed softly.

Looked like she was on board as much as he was. He tucked her into his side and they moved toward the door.

“Jakey, where are you going? Don’t you want that drink?” Baz taunted.

“Next time. Great game, guys,” he said, ushering her out of the bar and ignoring all comments as they left.

“Ally’s going to be all over me for this,” she said as he guided her toward his car.
