"I have no experience with men, but I know someone like you doesn't date girls like me, so if we're done here, I wish you a good night." I sound irritated, but to be honest, what makes me confront him with such determination is the intense sexual attraction he arouses in me.

"Someone like me?"he asks slowly.

"Yes. You know what I'm talking about."

"No, I don't. Clarify, Madison."

"Wealthy, Mr. Kostanidis."

"Is that a flaw?"

"In my world, yes."

"A dinner," he says, ignoring my protest once again.

"I can't."

Even though I really want to.

Yeah, I'm that stupid. Even though I know he can't want anything but sex from me, given the circumstances under which we’ve met, if it weren't for the risk of losing my job, I would accept the invitation because he's too handsome.

"And what if I say there won't be any risk of losing your job?" he says, as if he can read my mind.

I bite my lip nervously, unsure how to deal with what I'm feeling.

I close my eyes for a moment, and immediately the image of my niece and nephew comes to my mind, then Brooklyn in the hospital, and just like that, all doubt disappears. The security of my family is more important than throwing myself into an adventure that will probably last one night.

"In your world, maybe there are no consequences for breaking rules, Mr. Kostanidis, because in it, you're the king. But in mine and yours, I'm a subject. Good night."

CHAPTER TEN

She said no,wishing she could say yes.

Why?

Madison almost gave in, but at the last minute, something made her pull back.

Fear of losing her job? Probably.

I need to figure out a way to meet her outside SIN and, in that way, have what I want: her moaning my name, beneath me, as I fuck her hard.

There's no way I'm not going to kiss those lips. It's been a long time since a woman has driven me almost to the brink of madness like she has.

Her defiance is a bonus. Obviously, I didn't expect to receive a no, and certainlynotsuch a cheeky one, but I want her to show me all that passion within four walls.

The curtain opens again, and I have no doubt who it is.

Ares.

"Why didn't Madison keep dancing?"

"I asked her out. She said no."

He laughs. "You got rejected by my dancer?"

"For now. I'll find a way to meet her away from here."
