"Oh, so you're suddenly going to protect her this time?" I hiss. "You forgot to do that while your brother was dating her, huh? Forgot to check in, forgot to make sure he wasn't abusing her, right?"

"It's not like that."

"It's exactly like that. You're lucky I don't pummel my fist through your face."

"You won't. Because I'll kill you before you can."

"Well, then. We have something in common."

"Yeah," Jaxon growls. "We do. We're both dangerous."

"Good thing we're not rivals anymore," I mutter.

"Yeah, good thing. I don't want to have to choose between her and the club. Again."

"You won't. There is no choice. She comes first," I hiss.

"Then make sure she knows that. Make sure she's yours."

"Trust me, Jaxon. She is."

"Good."

"Now, if you'll excuse me. I have a date."

"Don't fuck this up, Viper. This is the closest thing you've ever had to a family. Don't throw it away."

"I won't. Don't worry. We're on the same page. She's my girl. End of story."

"Good. Now, get out of here."

I walk out the front door, and my gaze meets hers.

She's mine.

All mine.

And now, she's going to remember forever.

Tonight, she's going to know just how much she belongs to me.

And after that, I'm never letting her go.

I walk out of the club, and Iris looks up as I slide into the car where Christmas music is on full blast. "Ready?"

"Viper," she whispers.

"We're leaving now, and I'm taking you home. You're going to spend the night with me."

"I don't know."

"It's not a request."

"This is crazy."

"Crazy is watching your girl dance half-naked. Crazy is knowing that I can't do anything about it. But that's done now. And you're coming home with me. Tonight. Right fucking now."

"Fine," she groans, as I turn the heat on.
