It mirrors everything raging in my own heart.
In this moment, I want him with a ferocity that terrifies me.
I want his hands on my body, his mouth crushing mine.
I want him to consume me, possess me, own me.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I know it's wrong.
He's dangerous, lethal, a killer.
But god help me, I don't care.
I'll follow him into hell if he asks me to.
Because despite everything, there's one irrefutable truth blazing through me: I'm his.
Body, heart and soul.
And no force on this earth can change that.
CHAPTER SIX
Viper
My blood boils with fury, pumping fire through my veins.
Lyon, Iris's ex, is a dead man.
No matter what his brother, Jaxon, says, he'll pay one way or another.
Jaxon stands and nods to the door. "Come with me, Viper. Let's finalize this deal."
"What about me?" Lyon demands, his face red and sweaty.
Jaxon gives his brother a withering look. "You're not involved anymore. It's my decision and I've made it."
We leave the room, and Scarlett pulls the door shut behind her, leaving the women alone.
Jaxon leads me to the club's office.
He sits behind a massive mahogany desk and I sit in front of him.
"Let's get down to business," Jaxon states, pulling out a file and sliding it toward me.
I flip through the pages.
"These are the details of the property," he explains. "You can see the revenue for the club and the net income of the previousowner. You can also see the current profit and loss statement, along with a list of employees and their contact information."
"Looks good."
"I can also draw up a lease agreement, if you'd prefer," he says. "Just to make things official. The paperwork will be signed today. No backing out now."
"Wouldn't dream of it," I reply, not taking my eyes off him.
"Good. And you're certain about the terms?"
"Absolutely. But you know, it'd be easier to have Iris and the rest of the girls under one roof."
