You’ve got something serious between your legs, mommas.I thought, sipping from my glass and nodding my head.
Thirteen
The bright morningsun assaulted my skin and eyes, waking me before my time. I wanted nothing more than to sleep in all morning following the blissful night I’d had with the… Rubbing my hand across the empty space next to me cluttered my thoughts. Lifting in a panic, the sheets fell from my chest and crumbled at my waist.
“Bello,” I called out, only to receive silence as the response.
I rushed from the bed, wrapping the sheets around my body as I covered the entire loft while dragging the white flat sheet along with me for the journey. Unfortunately, my knight in shining gold teeth was nowhere to be found. He’d left me, but traces of his existence still remained. The note on the back of the door was proof.
I snatched it down immediately, eager to read its contents. The handwriting was appreciated. It’s elegance and poise. I’d only seen the worst of writing from men, so to find that Bello was the exception was pleasurable.
Brisk,
I’m missing you more than you know and I haven’t left the house, yet. Though I’d rather be beside you, I’ve sensed your hesitation and will only confess my desires to have you in my life with the people I love when you’re ready. Melonie is on the way over. I’ve given her enough for you both to buy anything you could possibly want. See you tonight at 8. Wear what’s in bag #18.
Bello
Ding.Dong.
The sound of the electronic bell disturbed any ounce of peace the note had given me. My hands flew to my chest and the cover hit the floor. I struggled to bend and pick them up out of sheer nervousness. Though the note expressed Melonie’s presence, I wasn’t prepared for it. Neither was I prepared to spend the day with her after spending the night with her uncle’s head between my legs.
I felt like the worst friend in the world while Melonie was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Nevertheless, I pulled the door open and found her behind it, a smile beaming as she rushed past me and into the loft. She smelled divine.
“Good morning, Melonie.”
“Good morning. Sleep truly does the body good, huh? You’re looking better than ever right now. I’m sensing a glow.”
“You’re just dramatic, babe.”
“What’s that?” She motioned toward the note in my hand.
“Uh… Nothing, girl. You’re already dressed and I’m still wrapped in the sheets, babe.”
I crumbled the note and placed my hand behind my back, nervously chuckling to lighten up a bit. I was awful at secrecy when it came to Melonie, but the slightest urge to confess that I wanted her uncle in every way possible didn’t arise.Oh God, I chewed a layer of skin from my right jaw.
“It’s fine. I expected it,” she fanned, headed for the fridge, “Dress comfortably. My uncle is sponsoring this trip and he plays no games when it comes to me and my shopping. He gave me enough to make up for the year he’s been away. He didn’t short-change you either. We’re both in good hands, honey!”
“Thank God for rich uncles, huh?” I sighed, sarcastically.
“Speaking of which… that’s who’s loft you’re in babe. I know my parents told you it was a rental, but that was only so you didn’t back out of the plans. They’re aware of how much you hate being an inconvenience, although you’re not.”
“Makes sense,” I nodded, “I should get dressed. I need a shower, first.”
“Alright. I’ll be out on the balcony.”
Soundlessly, I headed to the bedroom, rushing to the side table to grab my cell. The last thing I wanted was Bello calling and Melonie seeing his number pop up on the screen. I unlocked it and quickly decided to save his contact. Lo is what I went with before realizing it wasn’t safe enough.
With his name being Bello, I felt as if it was too obvious. Finally settling on a simple black heart, I held the phone to my chest and allowed the disappointment of his disappearance to subside. It was the only way to start my day on a good note because money for shopping wasn’t enough. I wanted him, plain and simple.
Feeling a bit better after reading his note again, I started the shower. The stickiness between my legs had dried and was nowa thin white crust. I thought of how it had gotten there with a shake of the head. Twenty. It had taken me to the age of twenty to feel an ounce of intimacy with a guy. The thought blew my mind, but I didn’t regret any of it.
A beacon for discernment, my spirit had spoken and Bello deserved that first kiss and that first lick. With time, he’d receive the first stroke, too. It wasn’t that I’d saved my virginity all this time for some grand moment. I was simply waiting for the right time and a worthy moment. There seemed to be no better time than the present. Being deflowered by the man of my dreams would be an honor.
Bzzzzz.
The vibration of my phone startled me from my trance. The imaginary hearts around my head popped at once. I pulled the device from the counter and observed the screen. My heart danced in my chest as the corners of my lips nearly met my ears. Without hesitation, I answered his call.
“Hi,” he broke the silence.
