“No, finish eating. I’ll go look,” Jill said, shaking her head as she gestured for him to sit back down.

Tomas hesitated as he asked, “Are you sure?”

“Yeah, it’s fine,” Jill said with a warm smile as she dropped the receipt on the kitchen island that was going to have to be replaced and headed for the kitchen door while Logan sat there, watching her go as he took in the tank top and jeans that showed off every delectable curve of her body to perfection.

“You growled again,” Caleb said, drawing his attention to find the adorable little boy watching him curiously.

“Scratchy throat,” Logan murmured, gesturing absently to his throat as he took another sip of his imaginary tea. “Delicious.”

“I helped make it,” Caleb said, nodding solemnly as he took a bite of sausage.

“You both did a wonderful job,” Logan said, earning a shy smile from Emma as she dug into the teddy-bear-shaped pancake that Jill made for her.

Taking another sip of his imaginary tea, Logan found himself glancing back at the door that Jill just went through and found himself thinking about the way that she’d fed from his neck this morning as she’d rubbed against his-

“I should go help your mother with the bags,” Logan said, clearing his throat as he hastily finished his tea before he got up and left the kitchen.

Once he reached the hallway, Logan quickened his pace as he headed for the library. Barely thirty seconds later, he made his way through the hidden door, down the stairway, through the tunnel, and up the stairs leading to the barn to find his angel sitting on the old stable manager’s desk.

Keeping his gaze locked on her, Logan closed the door behind him as he asked, “Didn’t find the bags?”

“Didn’t look,” Jill said, reaching for him as he crossed the short distance to her.

“You lured me out here?” Logan asked, watching as she hooked her fingers behind his belt and pulled him closer.

“I did,” Jill said, nodding solemnly with a heartfelt sigh and released her hold before she reached for his belt as he leaned down and brushed his lips against hers.

“Did you, now?” Logan asked as she pulled his belt loose and released the button on his pants before she reached for the zipper.

“Mmmhmmm,” Jill murmured as she slid her hand inside his boxer briefs, making them both moan when she wrapped her hand around him and-

Definitely never going to be able to get enough of her.

“I don’t need a nap, Mommy,”Caleb mumbled sleepily against her shoulder as she carried him into their bedroom and went to lay him down on his bed only to rethink that decision when he grumbled.

Kissing the top of his head, she went to lay him down on Shane’s bed only to have her lips twitch when he grumbled again. “I see,” Jill murmured softly, kissing the top of his head as she made her way around his bed and carefully placed him down on the bed next to Emma, who was already fast asleep, hugging the teddy bear that Logan gave her against her chest. She tucked them both in before she moved to stand up and-

“Kissy!”

-felt her lips twitch as she leaned down and kissed Caleb’s forehead before she kissed Emma’s cheek. When she stood up, she watched Shane walk into the room and drop down on his bed with the book that he’d been carrying everywhere for the past week.

She hadn’t said anything, mostly because she had a feeling that he wouldn’t appreciate it, but God, she was so proud of him. Every day, he struggled to get through another page, marking the words that he didn’t understand so that he could show them to Logan.

Logan simply stopped whatever he was doing and patiently explained what the word meant and showed him how to pronounce it. Once he was done, Shane would find a corner and devour his book until he got stuck again and would go find Logan. And every night, without fail, Logan would make his way downstairs after the twins fell asleep and sit with Shane in the library while he read.

“I’m not taking a nap,” Shane said, not bothering to look up from his book.

“I didn’t think you were,” Jill said, picking up the twins’ dirty clothes on her way to the bathroom and tossed them in the hamper.

“As long as we have an understanding,” Shane said, not bothering to look up from his book as he flipped to the next page.

“We do,” Jill said, biting back a smile as she headed into the hallway and closed the door behind her while she debated what she should do now only…

She could really use a nap, Jill decided, unable to help but smile as she thought about the reason why. She never knew anything could feel so good, Jill thought as she made her way to her closet while she did her best to stop thinking about Logan and just how good it felt to be in his arms.

She loved the way that he touched her, Jill thought as she toed off her shoes, and after a slight hesitation, she unbuttoned her jeans and pushed them down, leaving her in a tank top and panties. She climbed onto her mattress and curled up onto her side, pulling the comforter over her as she went until she was too comfortable to do anything more than close her eyes on a sigh.

She was quickly becoming addicted to Logan and it had nothing to do with his blood.
