Allie bites my lip and moans escapes me. Abruptly she pulls back, her cheeks flushed and our chest rising and falling rapidly. “Stop fighting it. Fuck me to the point I pass out and then wake me up and do it again because I want to live in the moment of utter silence for as long as I can.”

She tries to kiss me again, but I stop her with my hand on her throat. “Oh sweetheart, you have no idea what the hell you just asked for.” I hold her there for a moment and squeeze her neck slightly. I wait to see how she will react and when her eyes roll back and a whimper escapes her, my control snaps.

In seconds, she is on her back on the couch and my cock strains against my jeans. Her eyes go wide as my hand returns to her throat and I ground my dick against her pussy. “If you want to forget, I can do that, but you better hang on.” Allie rapidly nods her head yes and I slam my mouth against hers.

Chapter Thirty-Two

Allie

“Wake up.”

My eyes flutter open at the feeling of lips against my forehead and I am met with Landon staring down at me with a plate of food in one hand and Gatorade in the other.

Groaning, I turn over in the bed and bury my face in the pillows. I start to drift back to sleep when a chilly breeze shocks my body.

“What the hell!” I say, sitting up.

Landon stands off to the side of the bed, shirtless and in gray sweats, with the sheet in his hands. I don’t hide the fact that I am obviously checking him out. The guy fucked me into the couch, then brought me upstairs to do it all over again. I passed out after screaming his name and now this asshole is standing here and I want to devour him all over again.

Landon’s eyes darken and he moves closer to the bed and pulls on my leg, bringing me to the edge of the bed. “I know I rocked your world Allie Girl, but if you don’t stop looking at me like that, I will show you what it’s like when I don’t hold back.” As thewords leave his mouth, he leans down and moves towards my mouth and my eyes flutter closed.

I feel his lips hit my forehead and a blanket hitting my face a second later. I immediately move the blanket from my face and open my eyes to see Landon smirking.

“You’re a fucking asshole.”

He huffs in laughter and moves to grab the food and drink off the nightstand. “That’s not what you were saying a few minutes ago. If I remember correctly, it sounded like, “Fuck meeee.”

I’m off the bed and about to hit him with a pillow in seconds, but he jumps out of the way and runs out the room but stops in the doorway. “Nice hair, by the way. Maybe next time though we go with a ponytail?” Placing the drink under his arm, he makes a grasping motion with his hand and continues, “Make it easier to hold.”

My mouth drops open and his head tilts back in laughter, his abs tightening. “Come on. We only have an hour to midnight, and you need food.”

He doesn’t wait for me to respond before making his way back downstairs.

This version of Landon is something I didn’t expect and I have to say, I am really liking it.

“Holy freaking shit, this food is amazing.” I say, my mouth full of food.

Landon hands me a napkin and chuckles. “Mom is a great cook. She always said that the universe gave her all boys to test her patience, but also to test recipes on people who would eat anything set in front of them.” He pauses and leans forward, trying to take a bite of the delicious red velvet cinnamon roll in my hand, but I block him with my hand to his forehead and his brows furrow at me.

“Back off. This is mine.”

His eyes roll, “Brat.”

We sit and watch the countdown to the New Year on the TV and just as the timer changes to ten minutes left, Landon moves my legs off him and stands. “Let’s go,” he says, holding his hand out to me.

My brows furrow in confusion, but I take his hand and he leads me to the coat rack. We dress in warm clothes and Landon places one of his beanies on my head with one of his warm flannel jackets and leads us outside.

The second we step outside on the freshly fallen snow, the sky lights up with an array of colors. Shades of green, pink, and purple shine bright in the sky and it is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.

Together, we walk out into the yard and stare up at the sky above us.

Mom and Dad would have loved to see this. My eyes fill with tears, knowing that my parents are not here to witness the beauty.

As if he can sense something is wrong, Landon lifts his arms and I loop mine through and look up at him. His face is full of sincerity and I can feel the tears rolling down my face.

“I’m sorry. I just miss them…and Logan.” My voice cracks as his cold hand cups my face, his thumb swiping away the tears cascading down my face.

“Never apologize. It’s okay to miss the ones you love. And remember that they are never far, even if they feel like they are miles away.” He leans down and places a quick kiss on my forehead before turning and looking back up at the sky.
