Ben was confident his brother would do as he said, even though he didn’t like it.
“Diamond and I are getting married tomorrow in front of the justice of the peace.”
“No, you are not.” His brother ordered; his response was met with silence.
“Ben, you cannot do this. I am coming home, and Ambra and I will help you both out. This is serious and not a game.”
He felt a spark of anger, which didn’t happen very often, and said with a cold warning, “If you come back or Ambra finds out, I will leak everything to the press. Including the fact that I used my inheritance to put back the money from the charity, hiding a crime, and we both will end up in jail.”
“You cold bastard. Ben, if anything goes wrong, and you put what I have right now with Ambra and her sister in jeopardy, I swear—"
Ben cut off his brother’s threat, not fazed by the anger and promise in his voice. “It won’t, and you know it.” He said arrogantly, knowing how good he was when it came to hi-tech and security. He was not one to panic under pressure, and because of his disposition, he was able to keep calm and get things done when others would have buckled under the pressure.
He heard his brother swear harder. Ben glanced at his watch again and then heard the bell ring. His lips curved up in satisfaction. “I have to go; give Ambra a kiss goodbye for me; my fiancée is at the door naked and waiting to come inside her home.”
“Ben.” Michael hissed out his name, and he hung up, putting the phone back in his pocket, his heart kicking up a beat at the thought of Diamond outside in all her glory.
Chapter 6
Dizzy Fae song ‘Try’
Diamond pressed the bell to her new home. Her gaze was taking in the house from outside.
She loved this area and had been eyeing the houses. She’d planned on moving with her husband here once they’d tied the knot and settled down. It was a young, hip area in a gated community; the house was one she’d planned on buying and had contacted the developer to make an offer only to be told that it was already sold, and all the other lots had been sold out. Diamond had been disappointed and decided to put off her search as she’d gotten busy with the charities she worked for, and now she was standing in front of the house she’d wanted.
This had to be a coincidence; she heard from Ambra that Ben was looking and had purchased a place in a brand-new development, and this was it. She put her hand on her hip and felt the cotton material on her skin. She’d been furious as she packed all her valuables with a team that was waiting for her when she arrived home. He didn’t even trust her to get the job done and had sent people over to lend a hand. She’d been secretly grateful because she’d been fuming the whole ride home and hadn’t thought to call to have a packing service come to her place and a truck to remove all her furnishings.
There was a man who was in charge of the crew of movers, and he’d let her know that they would deliver to any location she wanted her items to go to, and she told them to send them to charities in need of business clothing, regular clothing, and furniture. Her family gifts and keepsakes were in a smallstorage container. Before she could blink, cars, vans, and trucks had pulled up in steady succession, taking away all the things given to her by family, friends, and her now ex-fiancé. Leaving her eventually with almost nothing, just as Ben had wanted.
Diamond was irritated, but excitement ran through her at the same time. She’d never felt like this, emotions swirling through her, and she was turned on by the way Ben was commanding her. Her body was alive, energy coursing through her, and just standing outside waiting for him to open the door, her nipples rubbing against the fabric; the friction was making them hard and sensitive.
Life had become routine lately with her personal life, except for her charity work. Diamond found she was just coasting emotionally through everything, but now she was wide awake emotionally and physically, and that was thanks to Ben.
She was about to press the button again when it opened to reveal her fiancé Ben standing in front of her, looking like a handsome dark cloud, in all black. She took in his sculpted upper body in a black T-shirt, down to his tight abs and lower to his tight black jeans that molded to every piece of his flesh, her eyes resting on the bulge that the tight material could not hide from her gaze, and she sucked in a breath. It had been a while since she’d received any type of touch or release. And she had to admit herfiancélooked delicious enough to want to get on and take a ride.
Her eyes flew up to meet his when she heard. “Diamond, I said nothing.” She shivered at hearing his husky timbre, and even though he looked irritated, she knew he was affected by her even though she was hiding beneath this long black raincoat.
She shrugged. “You can’t always get what you want, and I was not about to walk out in public naked, even though the glass of the car was tinted, and I couldn’t see the driver.”
“You disobeyed, and that will cost you.” His silver eyes ran over the coat, as if he couldn’t believe she’d actually disobeyed him. He forgot who he was dealing with, and she smirked.
She would have laughed too, but she was beginning to get cold outside, and even though the houses were spread out at a distance from each other and had a lot of foliage for privacy, she didn’t want people to get curious and start being nosy as to what was happening next door. She looked like she was homeless with just a coat on and nothing on her feet.
“Well, aren’t you going to invite me in, Ben? You are blocking the door, and it is getting cold outside.” She said and wrapped her arms around herself, pushing up her breasts, attracting his eyes there. She saw his pupils dilate, and his hand gripped the knob on the door, and she was pleased to see the way she was affecting him. Diamond loved having a hold over men and always used it to her benefit to get what she wanted. She was determined to have Ben wrapped around her finger and the one calling the shots. No one could say no to Diamond for long.
His eyes flicked back to hers, hiding his thoughts.
“No, not until you take off the coat, Diamond. I told you to come with nothing that belonged to you.”
Her mood darkened for a second. He is being ridiculous and controlling. She almost pouted, but then it uplifted, and she smiled in triumph, which now had him regarding her suspiciously.
“Ben, I did everything you asked me to do.”
“No, you didn’t,” he said, eyeing the coat pointedly.
“Yes, I did. You said to come stripped bare, with nothing I owned, right?”
“Yes.”
