Solomonpeeled my headphones off. "What are you doing?" heasked.

"Lilyand I are dancing. We made cocktails! Do you want one?" I slurredas I held up my glass. He sniffed, pulled a face, and shook hishead.

"I cansee you're dancing. I meant why are you dancing on the coffee tablein the living room?"

"Becausewe couldn't get a sitter for Poppy. She's asleep in the guestbedroom and we're clubbing in here!"

"Wheredid the disco ball come from?"

"Whatdid he say?" yelled Lily.

"He saidwe'll go deaf," I yelled back.

"Fine, just one more," said Lily, handing me her glass.

"Are youhaving a good time?" he asked, still holding me.

"Fabulous. I feel like I'm floating!"

"That'sbecause I'm carrying you."

I lookeddown then at my legs and gave them a waggle. I couldn't feel mytoes but that was probably owing to the alcohol. "Oh,yeah."

"Did youeat anything?" he asked.

"Therewas a raspberry in my drink."

"I willorder some food," said Solomon. "I think it's a carb day.Pizza?"

"You'rethe best," I hiccupped as I linked my arms around his neck. "Thebest boyfriend ever. The best fiancé. I am so glad you're notdead."

"Yes,please."

Solomonadjusted my headphones over my ears and tipped me back onto thetable. Lily grabbed my hand and twirled me around, then wobbleduncertainly. "I think I'm drunk," she yelled.

"Maybewe should stop," I yelled back.

"Weshould stop," yelled Lily. She slipped off her headphones and shookout her blond curls before stepping down and offering me her hand.I took it and stepped unsteadily onto the floor. "This was a goodnight!"

"Solomon's ordering pizza," I said, remembering his offerbefore I gulped.

"Great!"

"No,he's ordering pizza." The thought was sobering.

Lilywrinkled her nose. "Still great!"

"Lasttime he ordered pizza, someone shot him."

"Itwasn't the pizza delivery guy," she pointed out.
