Page 55 of Stuck On Them

“Oh, girl. You have no idea.” Ethan pulled me down next to him and then nodded his chin toward the inside part of the deck we were on.

Luca, Ryker, and Garrett were right inside the gym, the door cracked just enough to see them having a very heated conversation. I assumed it was about me, but was it a good conversation or one that would leave me feeling uncomfortable for the rest of the afternoon and evening?

Before I could dwell on it any further, Libby spoke. “Don’t worry about them. Luca vaguely told us what was going on when he invited us.” She was the opposite of Ryker personality-wise. While he was assertive and confident, she was soft-spoken and almost seemed shy.

“Did he want me to think you were their girlfriends?” I didn’t want to look away from the three men, but they moved farther into the gym, and I couldn’t see them anymore with the gym windows being tinted.

“I think Luca’s intention was to have us smack some sense into our brothers if needed.” Libby put her hand on my arm, and I looked at her. “I don’t think we need to do that, though.”

Cynthia, the stewardess, appeared carrying a bucket with champagne and flutes. “Would you four like me to pour your drinks?”

“Yes, please.” I was in desperate need of some liquid courage and was grateful for the distraction.

Cynthia expertly poured each of us a flute of champagne, and we all raised our glasses.

“To an evening that I’m sure will be full of surprises.” Ethan winked at me and my face heated.

We all clinked glasses, and I drained mine in one go. It was probably a bad idea since champagne seemed to make me tipsy quicker than anything else.

“Dang, girl.” Harper smiled and took another sip of her drink. “Oh! The yacht is starting to move! Let’s go upstairs.”

“I’ll grab the champagne.” I stood, putting my glass down on the small table and grabbing the champagne bottle by the neck.

We walked to the stairs leading to the flybridge and I stopped, causing Libby to bump right into me.

“Just go.” She pushed me toward the door into the gym.

“What if they’re having a business meeting?” I took a drink from the bottle I was holding.

“Doubtful Luca would let that happen when he’s wearing shorts.” She looked away from me, her cheeks turning pink. “I know it’s weird, but it’s not like Ryker isn’t open to the idea... he’s stolen a lot of my books thinking I didn’t notice.”

I stared at her with wide eyes. “That’s...”

“Gross, yeah I know. Knowing that my brother has read the same books I have, gives me nightmares. He’s also the worst at returning them and I’m not sure if I even want them back.” She made a gagging noise.

“Are you two coming?” Ethan yelled from upstairs.

The faint voices inside the gym stopped, and I knew they saw me through the windows despite them being heavily tinted on my side.

“Go on. We’ll see you at dinner, or maybe not at all.” She wiggled her eyebrows and then went up the stairs.

Both sisters seemed nice and welcoming, but I was a little surprised at how open they were about what was happening. I was sure there were a lot of people who would not be okay with what I was about to suggest, but the only person’s opinion that mattered was my own.

Although, saying it in my head and putting it into practice were two entirely different things.

“Time to claim my men,” I muttered to myself before striding toward the door and sliding one side open. “Hi.”

Three sets of eyes stared at me as I walked into the small gym and closed the door. The air in the gym felt thick as I walked a few steps closer to where they were gathered around a bench. It was a bit of a strange place to huddle together, but maybe they liked the smell of the workout equipment.

Nothing like the smell of rubber while you poured your heart out.

I did a slow perusal of Ryker and Garrett. They both had shorts on, showing off their sexy man calves just like Luca. Garrett had on a tank like Luca did, but Ryker wore a t-shirt that didn’t disappoint in the arm muscle department. He looked like he was back to his normal self, not a hair on his head out of place.

Why was it so hot in there?

I took a swig of the champagne and then hugged it to me. It could be my emotional support bottle.

Luca cleared his throat. “Are you okay? You ran off.”
