Page 34 of Wolf Forsaken

Xander began moving again in quick, hard thrusts that left me breathless. He shrugged the blanket off us, and Silas worked his cock harder and faster.

"Kiss me," I barely managed to get out. I grabbed Xander by the back of the neck and pulled him to me, sealing our lips together in a hard kiss that would leave our lips red and swollen.

Silas cursed, his cum spilling onto his hand at the same time Xander came inside me. My orgasm wasn't long after, milking Xander for every drop.

Still panting, I covered my eyes with my forearm. These men were going to be the death of me.

I woke up with a start,my heart pounding in my chest and my fangs scraping against my lower lip. Damn dreams about deer. Until I had shifted, I never remembered my dreams, but now I could remember every detail.

The twitch of the juicy vein in its neck. A flick of its ear. The first drop of its blood.

I slid out of bed from under Xander's arm and quickly made my way to the door. I was foolish to think that my days of popping a fang boner over deer were over. How long ago had it last happened? The days were all blurring together, and it felt like it had been way longer than it had.

I was barely out the door when Silas took my hand. "Are you okay?" he whispered.

I led him out of the room and pointed to my mouth. His jaw opened in surprise, and I headed toward the back door of the building. Carly and a few others were in the room, but they didn't pay us any attention, even though we were both naked.

As soon as we were out the door, Silas took my hand again and pulled me to a stop. "What are you doing? Just breathe deeply and they should go away. You're not going out there alone."

"I can do what I want." I pulled my hand away and began walking across the space toward the forest.

The snow had almost already melted, and if I had to guess, the temperature was around seventy degrees. It amazed me how one second there was practically a blizzard and the next it was like spring was upon us. I needed to get back to work at Northern Alliance.

The helicopter sat in the middle of the grass, looking completely out of place and an even bigger reminder of what had been taken away from me so abruptly.

I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't know what I was going to do, I just knew I needed to run. And maybe find a deer.

Before I could even think twice, I shifted to my wolf. I looked behind me to find Silas jogging toward me, a glint in his eye. If I wasn't so focused on food, I'd have taken a moment to stare.

I lifted my nose to the sky and sniffed. It smelled slightly different from Cole's territory. I didn't know how I knew, but I could smell the unique mixture of wolves. Maybe I needed to work on remembering scents.

The faint hint of a deer hit my nose, and I took off running. I heard Silas shift behind me and his chuffs as he ran. I felt so alive running through the forest with my mate at my heels.

There were still some patches of snow, but most had melted, leaving the ground damp and muddy in some places. Sun filtered through the trees, and I tilted my face up as I ran, trying to capture some warmth. I bet a sun bath would feel divine, but after a snack.

I was ravenous, and I knew the only way to satisfy my belly and my beast was with what I craved. My mind and heart, however, were heavy at the thought of killing another deer. What the heck was wrong with me? I was at war with myself, and the animalistic side won.

I slowed as the scent got stronger and stronger. I could see it now, but it couldn't see me. Even if it ran, I would chase after it and take it down. It had to be three times my size, with antlers and a beautiful tawny color.

I ran at a sprint. The buck, realizing I was coming, turned to begin its escape. It was fast, but I was faster.

My legs burned with exertion, my breaths coming out steadily as I tried to control my breathing. With one giant leap, I was on top of him, my fangs ripping into his neck.

He fell, nearly squashing me underneath him, but I wiggled out of the way just in time, not letting go of my hold on his neck until he stopped moving.

Taking them down was always the worst part. But then it was over, and my mind was on one thing: food.

I was just starting to enjoy my meal when Silas came up beside me and tried sticking his nose in my dinner. I bared my teeth and delivered a warning growl.

He growled right back, and I lost it. I surged forward, moving him away from my precious, snapping my teeth at him. He snapped back at me, and we circled each other, a dance of two beasts vying for dominance.

Our bodies collided, tangling together. He wasn't biting me, only giving me hard nudges with his muzzle, but my teeth scraped against his legs a few times as we tumbled on the forest floor.

With a hard butt of my head to his abdomen, he fell to the ground, staying there and looking up at me. I longed to take his throat, opening my jaw but not biting down. His snarls filled my ears as he fought against the urge to give up his dominance.

After what felt like years, he fell silent, but he didn't roll over. I had the feeling he would never roll over for me.
